Give Your Heart A Break

Vlad's P.o.v.

The day I first met him, I knew I was in love with him. But I knew it could never be with us being enemies and him being the hero, me being the villain. Even when I quit my evil ways, I thought it was useless. We were both the same gender and then there's the age difference. When I saw his 'Forest of Heartbreak', as he called it, I actually thought I had a chance, then I felt extremely sorry for him. But I knew that he needed to heal, so I gave him time. Now, it's a month later and I'm ready to tell him how I feel. I can do this. I invited him over for dinner earlier. It is now about time for him to get here. I finish setting the table just as I hear the doorbell ring. When I open the door and let him in, leading him into the dinning room.

I finally find my voice and say, "Daniel, I have something important to tell you."

He replies, "You can tell me anything, vlad. Now that we're friends, everything seems to be getting better."

"W-Well," I curse myself for studdering, "Ever since I met you, I have cared deeply for you, you know."

"Of course." He said.

"W-Well, I-"

Danny interrupted me saying, "Vlad, just spit it out. Okay."

I nodded gathering my courage to tell him, "Daniel, I'm in love with you. Have been, ever since we met. Please, Will you be mine?"

He looked shocked as he looked down. Quiet. I got up and brought his face toward mine, him still advertising his eyes.

"Look at me." I say.

He looks at me and I kiss him gently. Slowly and hesitantly, he melts into my kiss. Eventually, he pulls away. Looking away as well.

"Daniel, What's wrong? Do you not feel the same way as I?" I whisper.

"No, it's not that." He replies.

I look into his eyes and see what I didn't before. He's still hurt. He's still scared to fall in love.

"Daniel, I promise, I will never hurt you like so many others have. You won't ever have to carve another broken heart ever again. If anything, you will be carving full hearts, ones that aren't broken." I tell him sincerely.

"You promise?" He asks.

"Yes." I reply.

And when he leans in closer, he kisses me like nothing else matters. And I know that I will be the one to give his heart a break. I will be the one that has the true love my little badger needs.
