"Lync?"

Lync looked up, his eyes still adjusting to the lack of light in this new environment. It was a big change from the flashing explosions he had last seen. He could barely make out the outline of his former partner amiss all the trash scattered around.

"Volt?"

"So Hydron sent you here, too, Lync? Did you beat him and insult his honour as well?" Asked Volt, walking up to the fallen Vexos, extending a hand to help him.

"No, he said it wasn't too late to change my mind after he beat me, but he double crossed me and sent me here." Responded the shorter Vexos, taking Volt's hand and getting up, before brushing himself off.

"So, he's clearly lost his mind." Stated Volt, staring out into the distance, remembering how he too seemed crazy when he brawled Hydron.

"Oh, don't worry, I got him, I got him good." Responded Lync, feeling the missing glove against his face as he rubbed his grin.

Volt raised an eyebrow as if to ask "How?", Lync being able to make the details out now.

" I downloaded the data and left it on earth, so the brawlers can stop him." responded Lync, grinning widely now

"Well, that helps the universe... What about Mylene and Shadow?" Volt didn't seem to share Lync's enthusiasm at this, they were still the enemy.

"They're still loyal, as far as I know."

"Follow me then. I have a plan."

Volt turned around and walked off into the darkness. Lync quickly ran after him, bumping into him and falling backwards but catching his balance at the last second. They stood before a crudely wired trash heap in the rough shape of a video transmitter.

"What is this?"

"It's a transmitter."

"A transmitter? How'd it get here?"

"Built it."

"What from Volt! We're on another planet, heck we're in another universe!"

"I was taken down in a dump. Other stuff was sent here as well, look around you for once."

"So, what are we going to do with it then?"

"Easy Lync. First, we'll record a message, and then we'll send it to Hydron. When he see's us, he'll think we're ghosts and freak out."

Lync fell to the floor in tears. He rolled back at forth out of laughter before turning around and bashing his fist on the rocky ground. The idea that their whole use of the transmitter was to scare a spoiled brat instead of contacting help was ridiculous. Lync had broken from the utter stupidity of the entire plan.

"What is it Lync?" Asked Volt, looking down at what appeared to be a hyper five year old vestal child.

"Hahaha, it's that I'm sure your little prank here will scare him and all, but how will it help us get out!" asked Lync, wiping a tear off his eye and getting up.

"Professor Clay is going to track the message, our location will be found, we can then use their tracking to our advantage. Once we find out where we are, we transmit that to your little earth friend, Alice, and we're saved." Responded Volt, barely batting an eyelash. It took most of his strength not to cringe at the last part.

"What if they don't track us." Asked Lync, having noticed Volt's brilliance once again, he knew the big guy was only good for brute force.

"Think positive Lync. Hydron's paranoid, he'll track the message." Responded Volt before turning around and typing something on his gauntlet so the transmitter would start recording.
