Colby felt something hit the back of his head, causing him to jerk forward on his desk. He had been totally caught off guard. Looking behind him he saw David with a file, glaring at him.
"David, what was that for!" Colby exclaimed turning his chair around as he rubbed the back of his head. Wondering what did David have in that file.
David didn't say anything just sat there arms crossed and leaning on the desk. He gave Colby a you-know-what look.
"What? What I do?" Colby asked holding his hands up, having absolutely no idea what he did.
"That was for calling me a nerd." David barked.
"I never called you a nerd." David just looked at him. "All I said was that you may be nerd enough for Warner…," He saw his partner give him a "see" look. "I just meant that you would be considered the nerd if you were with Liz, which is totally different."
Out of nowhere David kicked him in the shin. Colby bent down and rubbed his shin. He looked up at his partner and gave him a what-the-hell look.
"That Granger was for voicing my crush on Liz." Colby looked past David and tried to interrupt him, before he could say anything else. "Let me finish man. Imagine if Don heard you…"
"I'm sure he would be fine with it." Colby said trying to keep a straight face.
"Oh sure I'm going to go up to him and say 'Hey, Don just so you know I've been crushing on Liz, your ex since before you two broke up.' Like that going to work."
Colby shrugged as a voice came from behind David.
"So, Sinclair I hear you fancy me."
He froze as he realized whose voice it was. David slowly turned hoping his ears were playing tricks on him.
There stood none other than Liz Warner next to a smirking Don.
