Chapter 2 Part 2
Meanwhile back at the academy at the headmaster's residence, Kaname and Kaien resume their talk about Envy into the academy and what they should do about Senri.
"You don't think we made the wrong decision do you?" Kaien asks Kaname.
"Of course we didn't. Envy was a top tier student at her previous school, she's an aristocrat, and their parents have donated quite a lot of money to this school. Senri just over exaggerated."
"I didn't think he would've minded that much...thought he would've been excited to have her here."
"His behavior definitely speaks in volumes and would explain why he hasn't mentioned her much in conversation...but the fact of the matter is we've already made the decision to let her attend here for reasons we've already discussed. Senri is just going to have to deal with it." Kaname explains.
"I'm just worried that it's going to cause Senri to leave the academy... what if he can't put his differences aside and Envy starts to resent him to...then it'll lead to unnecessary drama." Kaien pleas.
"I understand your concerns headmaster but I don't think Senri would leave the academy just because of one person, I'll sit and have a talk with them both individually and hopefully find some answers if that'll make you feel better."
"I feel like I'm the one who upset him, so I should be the one to talk to him." Kaien gets up out of seat and starts walking towards the door as if he's gonna go after Senri.
Kaname stops him in his tracks. "Give him sometime to cool himself off. I'll send him your way after class tomorrow. Better yet...why don't we both sit down and have a talk."
"Actually Kaname. If it's okay with you I'd like to have a chat just Senri and I at first."
Kaname responds, "As you wish headmaster. I'll bring Senri here after class tomorrow, but I'll be standing on the other side of the door so if things start to get out of hand, I'll come in."
The headmaster started staring off into space and didn't hear what Kaname had said.
"Does that sound okay headmaster?"
Kaien didn't say anything.
Kaname puts a hand on the headmaster's shoulder. "Headmaster?"
That snaps Kaien out of his daze. "Uh? What?"
Kaname lets out a sigh. "Daughter like father. Someone will be talking to you for a moment then you space off completely missing what was being said."
"My apologies Kaname. What did you say?"
"I asked you if that was ok."
"If what is okay?"
"Okay. Apparently you didn't hear that part either." Kaname shakes his head. "I told you that I'll bring Senri here after class but I'll bring Senri here after class but I'll be waiting on the other side of the door in case things get out of hand."
"I don't think that really be necessary Kaname but if you insist on doing so I won't stop you."
"After how Senri acted tonight, I think it would be for the best if I did." Kaname tells the headmaster.
"Oh well alright. I'll see you tomorrow. I got some paperwork to finish up before I head to bed." Kaien walks back over to his desk, sits in his chair, and continues on with his paperwork while Kaname turns around and leaves.
"Wait! Kaname before you head back to your room, would you make sure Senri got to his?" Kaien asks.
"I'm sure he's fine headmaster, he's just a little hot headed." Turns around to leave. "Good night headmaster." Quietly shuts the door behind him.
