A long, long time ago
In a land so far away
My friends and I were forced to pack
We thought Frodo and Gandalf the Grey
Could somehow figure out a way
To make that evil Ring not come back
But Ringwraiths came, it didn't thrill us
They chased us down and tried to kill us
We escaped from The Shire
Went to Bree and met up with Strider
We traveled on without a stop
And we ended up at Weathertop
Frodo got stabbed and almost dropped
That's when he found his worth...
Oh hi ho, this here hobbit Frodo
Son of Drogo, soon a hero - he's a long way to go
And he left Bag End to go to Mordor alone
Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be like Bilbo"
"Soon I'm gonna be like Bilbo"
Did you know this ragtag bunch
Doesn't seem to get along that much
But we're still made of sterner stuff
Ahh, do you see Aragorn off with Arwen
Though she's thousands of years older than him
Yeah, he's probably gonna marry her someday
Well, I know Bilbo's come back before
But if Frodo can, too, some aren't really sure
But the choice was up to him
On whether the Dark Lord would win
So we went to the Council of Elrond
To find out what to do with the "gift" from Gollum
From it a Fellowship would bond
To help poor Frodo out
We started singin'
Hi ho, this here hobbit Frodo

And he left Bag End to go to Mordor alone
Sayin' "Soon I'm gonna be like Bilbo"

Now we finally left Rivendell
Always avoiding Saruman's evil
Who would win, we still couldn't tell
So then we took on Caradhras
But soon the snow would cover all of us
All except that elf Legolas
Oh, but then we couldn't go much farther
And were forced to take the Mines of Moria
But as soon as we got in the room
We found the place was a tomb
Poor Balin had fallen to the orcs
As did every one of the dwarves
And a slight mistake made me a dork
Gandalf yelled, "Fool of a Took!"
Still we were singin'

But in the end the path was wrong
For Gandalf ran into a Balrog
And we lost him to the Shadow
We journeyed on to Lothlorien
And it wasn't long at all, 'til then
We knew we had to sail the Anduin
And near Gondor things went arwy
Frodo disappeared and Boromir died
A lot of Uruk-Hai were slain
But Merry and I were whisked away
And the audience is left in doubt
Of whether everything will all get worked out
Just wait 'til the next movie comes around
I guess next December will tell...
