Just a Dare (a Jamber fanfic)
Amber sat in front of her desk, working on her homework. The others were downstairs in the living room, chatting. Amber sighed. Why does high school homework have to be hard?
She heard Alfie shout, "Just GO, Jerome!" Amber let out a groan. Then, she heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." Amber said. Jerome opened it and went inside.
"What do you want, Jerome?" Amber asked. Jerome flashed Amber his sinister smile.
"Well, Alfie dared me to… kiss you for at least 10 seconds or bake a batch of cupcakes and make you eat it." Jerome said.
"Are you sure?"
"Amber, it's just a dare."
Amber thought hard. "I don't want to kiss you, but then you're horrible at baking."
Jerome raised an eyebrow. "So, what's it gonna be?"
Amber stood up and faced Jerome. "Just for 10 seconds?"
"Yeah."
Amber took one step closer and kissed Jerome lightly. Jerome was counting in his head and then the kiss went deeper. He lost count.
They pulled apart and avoided each other's eyes. Amber blushed furiously. A tinge of pink appeared on Jerome's cheek.
"I'll go now." Jerome said and closed the door.
Amber's mind was racing. It was just a dare. Just a dare, Amber.
After finishing her homework, she went downstairs. She found Alfie in the kitchen.
"Hey, Amber." Alfie smiled.
"Alfie, Jerome did the stupid dare so, let it go."
"Dare? What dare? All I did was tell Jerome to go and ask you to bake me a batch of your delicious cookies."
