Goofy knew this was a bad idea.

Gosh…such a very bad idea. He didn't like it one bit. He knew that he was following King Mickey's orders.

Follow the bearer of the Keyblade….King Mickey's letter said.

Urgk….and at first, it was easy! Sora was so much fun. He was funny and he told the best jokes. They liked the same food. They liked to see new worlds. Donald is all serious…uh huh…that why he liked hanging out with Sora.

Sora was his friend.

Then Riku came and took the keyblade.

Then he had to leave Sora.

The only thing he could say was sorry.

Gosh…He hated that!

Sure, it was orders. But Sora was one of his best buddies. They couldn't leave him there. What if he gets lost?! What if the heartless got to him? He had no way to protect himself! Maybe, he should go back. Donald can stay with Riku, uh huh…that sounded like a good idea. He opened his mouth to say something but the words got stuck. It like…he had peanut butter stuck in his mouth.

He looked over his shoulder again at the empty space then he turned to Donald. Riku was up ahead.

"Maybe…I should go back!" He said.

"You can't leave me. We have to stay together…" Donald said in a whisper.

"But Sora…."

"Sora will be fine."

"But what about the heartless?"

"He will be fine!" Donald snapped.

"What are you two talking about?" Riku said as he turned around.

"Nothing!" Donald shouted.

He frowned. Maybe, if Donald didn't listen, Riku was Sora's friend…maybe he would listen.

"You are Sora's friend, right?" He asked.

Riku gave him a look.

"Maybe…we should go back for him. It wasn't safe."

"He will be fine if he just play with little wooden sword."

Everyone kept saying that Sora would be fine. Just fine…he didn't like it.

He was really being to hate that word.

-KHKHKH-

He nearly jumped and tackled Sora when he saw him. He was with Riku called the Beast.

"Quit while you can." Riku said.

His mouth nearly dropped when Riku changed…into some dark. He looked over at Donald.

"No, not without Kairi." Sora said as he drawn his wooden sword.

"You're wrong, Riku. The darkness may destroy my body, but it can't touch my heart. My heart will stay with my friends. It'll never die!" Sora said in determination.

"Really... Well, we'll just see about that!" Riku said as his hand glow.

NO! He watched the orb speed toward Sora. No! He raised his shield and placed himself in front of Sora.

"Sora ain't gonna go anywhere!" He said as he low his shield.

"You'd betray your king?" Riku said in surprise.

He stared at Riku and shook his head. He made his choice right there.

"Not on your life! But I'm not gonna betray Sora, either, 'cause he's become one of my best buddies after all we've been through together! See ya later, Donald. Could ya tell the king I'm really sorry?" He said.

Gosh, Donald sure looked confused.

"Hold on, Goofy! We'll tell him together," Donald said as he ran over.

He smiled.

"Well, you know... All for one and one for all," Donald said.

"I guess you're stuck with us, Sora." He said.

Yup…forever…ever! Because that is what friends do! Stand up for each other." He said.

King Mickey would be proud.

End.
