Broken Barriers-
Chapter One- Bad Decisions
Disclaimer: I own nothing but DVDs in relation to Friends.
A/N: First Friends fic. I might continue or not, and I might update a lot or not. A little racy for me, but nothing will get more graphic then kissing. Just an idea, a bad idea. I love all the characters to death, and because of that, I'm going to mess with them. After the series finale, Ross and Rachel are engaged. And Chandler and Monica's adopted babies? Yeah, they didn't happen. Joey's gone . I might have him visit though! We'll see. Besides that it all sticks to the show.
Rachel Green always made bad decisions when it came to love. They plagued her mind; they haunted her in her sleep, like little ghosts poking at her that just wouldn't take a rest for one second.
Sleeping around with basically the entire varsity football team. Getting engaged to Barry. Screwing things up with Ross...again...and again...and again...and, well, there were too many times to count. Getting involved with Joey.
But now she had made the worst decision of all.
Kissing her best friend's husband who was also, her fiancé's former college roommate, and also her fiancé's brother-in-law.
Ross had left to go get Emma at her parents'. So it looked like a night alone to Rachel.
And then Chandler showed up, drunk as anything. Rachel opened the door and he basically fell down on her. She could smell the alcohol on his breath.
"I always thought you were pretty," he murmured with a small giggle.
He grabbed her waist and then kicked the door behind him, stumbling a little in the process. Rachel raised one eyebrow in suspicion and backed away from him with a few steps.
"Why are you so drunk?" she asked, and then realized how stupid the question sounded, especially to a drunk person.
Chandler gave her a loopy smile. "Monica works late," he said.
He took another step towards Rachel and looked at her with big eyes. Something about him was endearing, like a little boy. He wasn't serious. And he certainly wasn't thinking.
Why else would he have kissed her?
Rachel tasted the beer in his mouth, but didn't stop it. She liked it. And she didn't care that the guy she loved would be home in a few hours, or that her and Chandler's friendship would be forever ruined.
And so they ended up in the bedroom, Chandler tripping a little on the way, and made use of the bed.
Chandler breathed in her ear after as he slept, quick breathes. She gripped the sheet over her naked body – she felt exposed, disgusted with herself.
She felt a tear drip down her face. She snapped her eyes close and felt nauseous. She suddenly shook Chandler and told him to get out, Ross would be back soon.
Chandler, more sober now, dressed quickly. They didn't speak until they got to the door, too awkward, too embarrassed, too ashamed.
Chandler leaned in to kiss Rachel, and she didn't stop him. She couldn't help it, and one more kiss wasn't going to hurt. She had just screwed the guy whose wedding she was Maid of Honor in, she was positive there was a whole section of hell labeled, "Reserved for Rachel Green: Monumental Whore".
"I..." she started, unable to find the right words.
"Rach?" he whispered.
She nodded, but looked down as he stepped back.
"I won't tell,"
Rachel simply swallowed and closed the door behind him, tears streaming down her face. She knew the worst part was that if he had wanted to continue, she would, because suddenly it wasn't Chandler Bing. It was Chandler Bing.
She'd seen it before, but now she had taken her opportunity. And it had been a bad decision.
But then again, Rachel made bad decisions when it came to men.
