"Jyn!" Cassian cried out to Galen Erso's daughter. "We have to go! I know where your father is!"
"Go with him Jyn!" Saw urged. "You must go,"
Still fighting back tears from seeing her father's hologram, Jyn became keenly aware that another father figure, Saw Gerrera, was about to disappear from her life.
"Come with us!" Jyn begged as the sounds of collapsing rocks began to drown out her voice.
"I will run no longer," Saw said defiantly.
"Come on!" Cassian was now pleading.
Stepping forward, Jyn reached out and grasped Saw's arm with renewed confidence. "You don't have to run any longer," she said, "But that doesn't mean you should stop fighting,"
There was silence as the two stared into each other's eyes. In her old mentor, Jyn saw a dying flame, exhausted from years of rebelling; in the young woman's, Saw noticed the first sparks of revolutionary understanding.
And so I will fight, Saw decided. Till my dying breath, I will fight.
Reaching down to retrieve the data card, Saw gave Jyn a thin smile and said, "Your father will be very proud,"
