Thank You Okuda
Karma waited outside the Chemistry room while the rest of Class 3-E left home for the day. He watched as the weather turned from calm and peaceful to the beginning of a rain storm. He never noticed how peaceful everything was when he realized that stupid people weren't talking all around him. He glanced into the room and saw Okuda cleaning up her work space and he gripped the small box in his hand a little tighter.
"Karma? Why're you still here at school? Shouldn't you be heading home now?" Okuda asked when she opened up the door and saw him standing there with his normal Cheshire grin.
Karma walked up to her and gently took her hand, causing Okuda to blush at his warm touch as she watched him place a small box in her hand. "I want you to have this." Karma said softly, like he was afraid other people would hear their conversation.
It was wrapped professionally and Okuda waited for Karma's OK to open it before she tore into the wrapping. She was surprised to find a very expensive brand of white chocolate that had sold out practically everywhere behind the wrapping paper. "Karma this is-"
"I wanted to thank you for helping me out for Valentine's day. You're a dear friend of mine and I appreciate your willingness to help me out with my devious pranks." Karma said, answering Okuda's question before she even asked. He watched the girl turn even redder as her smile lit up her face like a Christmas tree.
"You sure know how to treat a girl right Karma." Okuda chuckled, placing the white day gift in her bag and standing in the hall with him for another moment before gathering up her courage to say what she never thought she'd ask him. "Hey, if you're not doing anything today...would you like to go to the bookstore with me?"
Karma blinked once and smiled at her. "Sure, that sounds like fun. Haven't been to a bookstore in a while. Maybe they'll have something that might help us kill Koro-Sensei."
Before they exited the school building, Karma stopped Okuda before she reached the doorframe and kissed her on the cheek. Making the young chemist so light headed that she thought she was going to faint. "Thank you for everything Okuda. I mean it."
"Y-You're welcome Karma." Okuda said stammering over her words in a cute embarrassed way that Karma always liked. Together they walked to the Bookstore on what Karma personally thought in his mind as their first outing as potential future lovers.
