Amanda's Breakup with Dean (The scene we never saw but all wonder about)

(Setting: the end of I Am Not Now…Nor Have I Ever Been…A Spy Amanda is trying to explain where she has been all this time to her mother)
Dotty: But darling, why didn't you leave a note, or call or something? I was so
worried about you."
Amanda: I know Mother I'm sorry, I was just in such a rush to try and remember
things I just left and forgot about a note or anything.
Dotty: But why did you leave again?
Amanda: Again?
Dotty: I saw you out the window and then when I came out, you were gone.
Amanda: Oh, well, I remembered I hadn't watered Mrs. Demingshire's plants so I
headed over there.
Dotty: Oh, OK, Amanda. By the way, Dean called. He said he'd be over as soon
as he finished work. He's been so worried about you.
*Amanda rolls her eyes*
(In her living room, she and Dean are sitting on the couch)
Dean: And when I heard about what happened, I was so concerned. I mean,
after all, I feel a certain responsibility towards you.
Amanda: Uh..yeah. Listen Dean. I think we need to talk. You see, I've been
thinking a while, and I just don't think things are working that well between us. I mean, you have your weather to worry about, and I have the boys and my mother and PTA and the Bombers and I just…well, I just don't think it's going to work out between us. I'm always so busy and you…well, you need someone who can devote more time to you.
Dean: But Amanda…I thought things wer going very weel. What happened? Did
Things not go well with my mother?
Amanda: Dean I didn't have lunch with your mother. That was when I was at the
hospital, remember?
Dean: Oh yeah…Well, what is it?
Amanda: Things have just changed Dean.
Dean: It's someone else isn't it? You want to date soomeone else don't you?
Amanda: No Dean, that's just it. I don't want to date anyone right now. Listen,
these past several months have been wondeful and I'm very grateful to you for them. I wouldn't change a thing. But I think we're starting to part ways and I think we should end this now before things get any further along, OK? You are a very special man and you deserve a woman who's better suited to you than I am.
Dean: So I guess this is goodbye then. Amanda, thank you so much. You are
very beautiful and so talented and vibrant, I've really enjoyed all of this. Thanks and I wish you the best. (*lightly pecks her on the cheek*-I know it's gross, but hye y'all, he'll be gone after this, give him one moment of grace, it won't last long, I promise)
Amanda: I wish you the best too, Dean. I know you'll find another woman who
you will fall even more in love with than you have with me. (*hugs him*)
Thay walk to the door and she wabes goodbye as he leaves.
