First Aid

Description: Jess giving Becker first aid.

Author's Note: Trying to get better at writing less. This is only 100 words, part of my personal challenge 1000 words or less a day.

First Aid

"There's so much blood," said Jess.

"Tie below the wound, as tight as you can," said Becker.

Jess tied her scarf around his leg.

Becker grimaced.

"Help is coming," she said.

"You did good, Jess."

"You got hurt."

"The bug's worse."

"I've never stabbed one before."

"I'll never look at an umbrella in the same way," he said.

"Anything else I can do?"

"I could use a shot of Jess Parker."

"Oh," she said, and kissed him.

"Keep them coming."

"I will." She kissed him again.

"Hope can come soon, but not too soon," he said.

She smiled.
