Summary: The unnatural darkness came every
night.
Feedback: 'm a whore for it.

Uh…damn. So, this is why I stayed away from Manson while writing.
The unnatural darkness came every night.
It started out bubbling up from the floorboard, and wide blue eyes would focus on it in absolute terror. It bubbled, seething until it spread into a wide puddle, slowly growing out to lap at the walls before climbing it like vines…vines of thick black blood creeping in terrifying designs until it covered every inch of the room.
It came every night, leaving no spot untouched. The natural darkness of night was replaced by luminous poison green eyes. The darkness would drip down from the ceiling, forming an almost human-like spectral.
"Roxas," the darkness purred, settling into a wraith-like form, face pointed and jagged. It would slink forward, reaching out with sharp, twig like limbs to grab his chin in a powerful grip, fingers feeling like leather covered knives.
"Come back with me, Roxas," the darkness purred, touching his cheek, his chest. His shirt provided no protection from the touch, the darkness ate through it all. His chest burned, heart beating wildly like a caged bird fighting desperately to escape.
Roxas could never speak during these moments of the night, when the darkness invaded every single pore of his body. The darkness with the jagged edges and a wide smile with too sharp, too white teeth would kiss him, would nuzzle him, and draw blood. The hands – it was bone, all bone, no skin at all, just leather covering a skeleton's hand! – would slip under his shirt, burning him through and through.
The darkness, tendrils of it, not actual limbs of this false attempt of looking even remotely human, would slip under his sheets, twining slowly around his legs until they bound them together, making it impossible to run.
"Shh," the poison man always whispered, stroking Roxas' hair as he sat there, too petrified to move. "Shh…it'll all be all right, pretty. We can go home soon. We'll be happy, Roxas. We'll be together. You'll never leave again."
Roxas would shake then, the tears pouring down his cheeks, the darkness slowly enveloping his body until it went numb and he could no longer feel it.
All Roxas could feel was the fiery burn of skeleton white hands on his chest, the slimy darkness slowly sinking into his most intimate of places, and the weight of that jagged, crazy smile under poison green eyes.
