Life is naught but a black abyss of pain that only ends with the dark unknown of death. The only light that is ever seen is the false light of false love, which will only even prove to you how totally alone and in the dark you really are.
Ginny Weasley had always lied. She lied to everyone, her family and her friends. People thought that she was just another Weasley, they thought that she was over what had happened in the Chamber but she wasn't, she was different. The facade she put up reassured everyone that there was nothing to worry about and some of the time, it allowed her to be happy.
She was popular enough because everyone likes the nice girl. She wasn't pushy or bossy and she didn't flaunt her intelligence or powers like Hermione or Harry. People liked her because of who they thought she was; easy-going and laid-back with a sense of loyalty and a spark of spunk. But inside she was much darker, she had been scarred by what had happened to her and the image she portrayed was in fact the complete opposite of what she was. Being possessed by Tom had only let her see that she had a darker side and that it was just as much a part of her as her background. And it hurt her to have to hide who she was but she knew that no one would ever accept it.
Harry had been the one person she thought would understand but the more time she spent with him the more she realised that he only saw her as more fragile and precious than everyone else did. His many brushes with death and loss had made him too cautious, cautious enough to leave her despite his love for her because he thought she might be in danger. She had always been in danger though and what she wanted was someone who would be there for her no matter what happened. She had put all her hopes on Harry understanding and they had been dashed once again. She couldn't leave him now, not after everything that had happened and even if she did leave him she would have nowhere to go. She was stuck, her own choices and decisions had left her with none. Life would just have to go on.
