One last adventure..
A chance to make amends,
for my only student lead astray,
to be redeemed through his progeny...
But my bones are weary and my powers overtaxed.
Being a hero is a young man's game. I am better suited as a mentor, an example, or a sacrifice to motivate...
As I fight one last battle against my greatest failure,
I look back on my teacher and friend and how his death left regrets behind him.
One last glance towards the future, I steal my resolve, and make peace with my past.
As an old man, I have no strength left to fight, but there is more for me to do,
something that can only be accomplished after death.
The student, now teacher, swings to strike me down
and I will win, simply because I surrender...
