It doesn't matter how you try to bend the rules, or how you try to look at it: Roxas is still a kid.
Children are far too impressionable, and easily latch onto guardian-figures. His guardians just happened to be possibly two of the worst possible candidates: Axel and Marluxia.
It's pretty obvious that they don't have the kid's well-being at heart (ha!), because how else could he become this fucked up?
Sure, he knows what's going on; hell yeah, he begs for it every time. But that doesn't make what the happy little family does any more acceptable.
But they're Nobodies — they have no sense of right and wrong, and so they can keep living this dysfunctional, oh-so wonderful non-life of theirs.
