Author Note: This is for NCIS LA's labor day weekend! This is the first fanfic for the month of September. I hope that you like it. Be sure to review.
Maria was sitting on her porch waiting for her estranged father to show up. It had been a while since she saw him. Her mother got fed up with her father leaving her all the time. Maria was only five years old when her parents had separated. When he finally got there, she had went in side. He walked up to the front door and knocked on it. His wife opened the door.
"Hey, she's taking a nap right now so you can come in and wait for her to wake up." His wife said to him as she let him come in. Truth be told, he wanted to see if they could reunite. He misses his family and having her next to him in bed.
"I'm glad that she's taking her nap but I want to talk to you about something." He responded to her.
"What is it?" She said hopefully that he was going to want to make it work between them. She didn't understand what was going on between them. She wanted him to see that he would miss out on their lives together.
"I want to talk about us. I want us to be a family again." He revealed to her as he took hold of her hands.
"I want that too but I need to think about it." She responded as their daughter came running into the room. She turned her attention on to her daughter "Hey I thought that you were taking a nap."
"I was mommy. I heard daddy's voice. Please get back together. I miss you guys together." She said as she started to cry. Callen and his wife both hating their daughter crying. He picked her up and she wrapped her arms around him. "Mommy give daddy another chance."
"Alright, daddy." Katie said to her husband and daughter. It was going to be a good day after all. The newly reunited family decided to go to the beach and hang out together.
