Skye sighed as she forced her luggage into the overhead, thankful for the day airlines started letting dogs fly solo. While she would have prefered to just fly to Adventure Bay on her own, sometimes even she needed a break. Flopping down into her seat, she stared out the window as she was thankful for at least getting some rest.
"Um, excuse me?" Skye blinked, turning to see a blue furred dog staring at her. The dog cocked her head shyly. "D-do you mind if I sit here? All the other seats are full." Skye gave the pup a warm smile.
"Not at all." She patted the seat in welcome.
"Thank you." The dog smiled back, putting her backpack in the overhead, before plopping down next to Skye. Skye held out her paw.
"I'm Skye by the way."
"Blue." The dog took her paw with a smile.
"So Blue," Skye cocked her head. "What are you heading to Foggy Bottom for? I've met the mayor, and he's not exactly a pleasure to be around."
"Oh, well, I'm actually not staying in Foggy Bottom. Its airport is actually the closest I can get to Adventure Bay by flying."
"Oh, your heading to Adventure Bay too? Cool! Watcha doing there?"
"I'm... Actually going to visit a friend of mine. One I haven't seen in a while." Skye noticed the hesitation in Blue's answer, but chose not to press it, considering they were still almost strangers. "So uh, what are you doing in Adventure Bay Skye?"
"Oh, well, have you ever heard of the PAW Patrol?"
"Oh yeah." Blue answered, looking thoughtful. "Wasn't it that rescue team made of pups?" Skye giggled.
"Yep! I was actually one of the founding members when I was a pup!"
"Wow, really?" Blue was in awe. "That's awesome!"
"Yep! I'm actually going to a reunion. I'll get to see my old teammates for the first time in years, AND we all get to meet the new members of the team."
"That's so cool! Hey, maybe we'll see eachother there huh?"
"Yep! You can count on it!" Skye responded with glee.
Skye sighed as she set foot on the bridge connecting the Lookout to the town, laying eyes on the building for the first time in years. She could see the shapes of canines both big and small. Stepping forward some more, the shapes became more defined. One of the small pups noticed her, and the dog she was talking to turned. Skye's heart fluttered as she locked eyes with the german shepherd for the first time in a long time, the two smiling at eachother as Skye bounded forward.
Blue couldn't help but smile as she lay her eyes on the hospital bed in front of her, the figure laying in it one she hadn't seen in years. Sidling up to the side of the bed, the sleeping figure began to stir, eyes opening blearily, and a paw reaching for a pair of glasses on the bedside, setting them upon the face they belonged too, eyes widenening as the blue blur became more defined.
"B-Blue?" The voice croaked, eyes pooling with tears as the blue dog smiled.
"Hey Magenta, long time no see."
