Disclaimer: To those reading this, I would like to note, this is in fact an OCxOC fanfiction, that in which happens to share a bit of concepts and ideas from Attack On Titan/Shingeki No Kyojin. However, what is also to be known I have no ownership over one of the OC's present in this fanfiction. Tea Phantomhive is in claim and also ownership to the person I am writing this as a gift for. Now with that being said, slight cameos of canon characters from SNK and a character from Black Butler will be noted for plot convenience, but nothing romantic to be involved between said characters. Being noted, Attack On Titan/Shingeki No Kyojin is owned and licensed by Hajime Isayama, as are the characters. With that being noted, I claim no other things to be my own except my own original character. Also, the couple in this story is a same-sex couple, as well as some graphic sexual scenes will take place on into later chapters. Reading discretion is advised of course.

Unable to find herself to rest easy into her bed, tossing and turning constantly, eyes weary with exhaust and haunted by that same person over and over in her mind. Trying to make sense of all this, Marti Fernandez; a young university student struggles to find the answer to her problems. Trying to remain focused and diligent with her coursework along the classes she takes, it becomes a bit of a nuisance when she finds herself unable to sleep constantly every single night, and having little to no sleep in result of having that same dream over and over.
Who is the mysterious person that plagues her thoughts, and why does she seem so important? It's only August, the beginning of the new semester and she already finds herself dreading the university choice she made. She just wants answers, but maybe, Marti will manage to find her answers in the most recent person she comes face to face with. Tea Phantomhive.
AN: What I would like to make clear, both OC's are in fact from two different fandoms, but these are in fact RPC's that have been used to create this story, and is based of your average Reincarnation!AU. Tea Phantomhive of course is not mine, and once again, belongs to the person I am writing this for. All I claim ownership for is my own OC, and only claim copyright endowment on her.
Chapter 1: To A New Start.
"Who's to say pain isn't Eternal?"
{Marti's P.O.V}:
The rain, of course it was deemed to be suitable for much, grief, the coming of new change and rebirth. It was likely not much would go on from that moment in time, considering the hymn that had followed suit. It was rather dreary, silent and kind of depressing. Noting the rain run along the window of the apartment she lived, a soft- but oh so gentle sigh escaped the brunette. Gaze lowered and having her eyes closed slightly to the point where she had a half-lidded gaze. The female happened to be holding a small cup of tea in her hand grip, the warm liquid providing some sense of comfort at least for the mood and tone of the day. She had just grown tired of the usual workload she had gained from her task as a university student. Not yet able to put an exact clue on why she felt rather distant and reserved, the brunette found herself raising the cup of tea to her parted lips, taking a small sip in hopes it would help calm the atmosphere she happened to be settled into.
Her mixed-matched eyes making note of the environment around her, sighing gently, and then tightening slightly her grip on the handle of the cup. Eyes narrowing in small retaliation to the sudden doubt of not being able to calm down and ease herself, she happens to follow under the instinct and urge of slamming her tea cup down- however, stopping herself short just as the cup almost comes into contact with the plate. The clock ticks within the silence of the living room, adding to the tense, thickening atmosphere by the second. She's obviously exhausted, weary even, light colored, yet also mismatched eyes showing deprivement of sleep and rest. It was the middle of August, almost having led into the month of September. It was only the start of Marti's new university 2nd year semester, and yet already she was given work upon work, muttering along a bit to hopefully rant it off. "Honestly… They could ease up just a tad bit for now, it's August, we're just starting the semester. But then again, I alone can't change the university's mind.."
It seems pointless to the female, they were just approximately only a week into the first semester, surely that much work should have not been much of a requirement just yet. The reason she happens to complaining to herself about this issue, is due and known to the fact and noted reason that she has barely slept. Just hearing the clock tick nonstop for each second was driving Marti up the wall, groaning in frustration and finding herself lifting from the single couch seat she had first resided in. Grabbing her now empty cup of the liquid that once rested within the small, dense round cup. She had read the time, it's only 4:30 in the afternoon, which had been about two hours after she was released from her university classes. Walking into the kitchen, she placed the cup into the empty, clean sink, turning on the faucet for a brief moment. Rinsing out her cup and then turning it off, cursing and mumbling to herself in spite at most.
To sit here in the silence is tedious, aggravation leading to her sudden, upset, and just plain irritated mood. Being a student at Yale University of course had it's own advantages and perks, but at the same time- had cons as well. It was a very prestigious university within the United States of America, so those deemed qualified to enter were usually put into high respect and scholarship programs and opportunities. Stepping out of the kitchen, she walks past the coffee table, her student identification card resting along the flat, smooth wooden surface. The card containing her name, picture, age, and chosen major. As well as the name of the college university she attended. The name was well known, to those who encountered the brunette knew of her social status and intelligence. Marti 'Aria' Fernandez, the daughter to one of the most successful female lawyers, and to an aspiring business entrepreneur.
Knowing it was almost expected of people to know of her popularity, she had provided it with the now obviously noted information to most of the school. That was in fact likely the main reason, and the only reason she was so highly anticipated in attendance on the first day. Many people had approached- much to her liking and dismay, and keeping the silence for the atmosphere around her. She was one to stick and prefer the silence, in fact it was expected of the brunette to remain reserved and silent. It was within her nature and personality to remain to herself in spite for her to be comfortable, to let people approach her if she was alright with social interaction. At times, she enjoyed the thought of being alone, the brunette was to prefer reservation and isolation, so it was expected from herself to kinda limit on social activity. Marti was always a person who had preferred being alone, and it was obviously noted and hinted at that alone it would remain unchanged at most. Still proceeding along her venture through the living room, another sigh escaped her, this time one of aggravation and annoyance. Followed by a hint of frustration. Raising a hand to run through her hair, her gaze is still narrowed, trailing it along the surroundings near her, light-colored eyes closing and then stopping her movements suddenly. Releasing a small breath of air, her eyes opened halfway, just shaking it off and heading to get some rest.
Marti didn't have classes tomorrow, so she did not exactly have to worry about turning in any assignments for tomorrow. And some were due next week, so she had enough time for such. It was too tiring to process everything running through her mind and thoughts at once, so maybe a small nap and rest would deem her at least helpful. Feeling her covered feet trail along to her room after a quick moment of pausing in her initial travel, she just adjusted her ponytail, so inclined to hoping that sleep could overcome her as soon as she laid down into the sheets of the comfortable king-sized bed. Eventually reaching the room she slept and rested in, as well as did her school work in at most, she found herself flopping into her bed, eyes half-lidded once more, her phone resting along her side a few inches away from her. Eyes obviously looking really deprived of energy, they slowly shut, eventually falling into a dreaming state. Hands happening to be resting along the sheets as she slept away the exhaustion.
To find herself bleeding from multiple wounds, Marti found herself struggling to even gain a single movement. Hissing and wincing in pain, she deemed it likely she hated the predicament she had managed to get her own self trapped in. Her eyes trailed along the ground she was laying on, bleeding out from a serious wound and that severed her neck, as well as the other wounds residing along her torso and lower waist. The same gear, the contraption she had used to move her around freely in the air while exterminating Titans broken into shambles at her left flank, sword blades also broken but digging into the earth it had embedded into. To not know how long she had been bleeding out, Marti had wished and yearned to know that answer, but yet knew it wouldn't really change the fate she was determine to accept probably in not that much time. Reaching her hand out to hopefully maybe start at least a small motion of crawling, she found herself gasping and crying out to no one in particular in agonizing pain. The female soldier couldn't help but just curse and let her eyes slightly close to the point where she could see, but not as much as she would let it be noted. Brunette medium length hair messy and out of it's usual ponytail, it didn't look like how the tall Titan shifter kept it at most.
She had usually kept it neat, as well as tidy, but due to Marti being thrown around like some rag doll earlier of course would have left her looking like a bloody mess. To see the strong squad leader so beaten, weak and defeated was definitely a huge contrast to her skill and experience. But Marti wasn't invincible, she was just as prone to finally meeting her downfall as many of her comrades did. All of them were just ordinary people, almost living in fear, in resignation behind the walls due to those god damn pests. To be constantly hunted and treated as if they were just cattle, it disgusted her, pissed her off beyond no belief as well. She was exhausted of seeing many countless deaths, to see so many innocent lives taken away by those foul, wrenching behemoths they called Titans. The shifter had to admit, she possessed their abilities, but she absolutely detested the cretins that had played with their lives with no care in the world. Those creatures had just brought suffering, misery, pain, and god damn grief everywhere they went. Yearning, even wishing to just let the world have the freedom it desired for hundreds of years. Even so, they still struggled and went through so many hardships regardless of how they wished for liberty, and the chance to see the outside world.
A bitter sigh escapes the soldier as she finds herself bleeding out to death. Marti had grown on the idea, with the set standard that this was indeed the unfortunate way she had to go. To feel herself eventually start to give up, provided with the known detail there was no way she would survive past another 10 minutes. Not with how her injuries inflicted, to have a fatal cut along her nape would definitely damage and stop her healing process. Being a Titan shifter, Marti had those healing properties, but if injury was made to her neck while in either her Titan form, and or human form- it would likely mean most certain death. Even if she tried to receive medical attention for those wounds, the effort would in vain- knowing the cutting of any major artery and letting it bleed out profusely for a specific amount of time was in no point able to be stopped. Marti's mismatched in color eyes had diminished greatly in contrasting color, and showing her time was very well limited in lasting. Her hearing was very muffled, being as she could not hear as far as she could, she was unaware of the scream and crying out of her name coming from an individual. Whose voice happened to be of a female, who might have been in her early teen years, and definitely had going through puberty. Her eyes trailed upwards slowly, blurred and fogged up vision barely making out the person, and coughing up small tidbits of blood. At the moment, the brunette regretted so of the fate she had met. And also how Marti wished, now hoping and praying she could have said farewell properly...
Marti had woken up with a jolt, eyes widening and sitting up suddenly. A cold sweat traveling along her skin, her breathing obviously left within a erratic state, light eyes showing concern and worry at most. She clutched her phone which was nearby, feeling the slight rubber from the case that had sealed and protected her phone from damage. Still panting, Marti had decided to try a breathing exercise a friend of hers had suggested, starting with a small inhale of air, followed by a soft, low exhale. Marti knew she had forgotten to close the door to her room, due to the fact she could hear the clock in the living room, still having that sense of chills running along her skin. That had been the 7th time this week, and it was really starting to pester her constantly every single time she had rested and or fell into a dream-like state. At first, the dreams had started as a normal dream would, only occurring at night when she went to bed, then they persisted into every day when she fell asleep to rest. Afterwards, it had led to now- plaguing her like it wanted to spur a reaction out of her, one of fright, annoyance, as well as exhaustion. Letting go of her cell phone, she sighed and then ran a hand through her hair again, feeling how disheveled and messy it had become thanks to the constant tossing and turning. Eyes showing a narrowed gaze once more, she peers over to her alarm clock, seeing that only about 3 hours had passed since she had dozed off. Marti had managed to groan in frustration, seeing the rain still hitting and drizzling along the window, showing the weather hadn't changed.
Why the hell was she constantly plagued over and over every single day with this dream? It wasn't as if Marti had managed to derive and analyze any sort of names from this constant allusion of imaginary figment. The brunette had then found herself shaking her head, mumbling a couple of curses in her native foreign language, sitting up straight and stuck thinking to herself throughout the whole entire time in a focused manner, 'Why in all mighty God's sake does this same fucking dream bother me so fucking much? It's just a dream, it has no significance to me, at least not any that I can note of… Never mind that, I might as well get started on my work. I shouldn't delay, it's 7:45 PM now, I have to get it done, even it isn't due for another week.' Proceeding to get up from the bed, she finds herself thinking back to the blurred figure screaming and crying out a name, shivers traveling down her spine. Just why was she having this recurring dream, and what purpose did it serve her for knowing about it? Maybe another cup of tea would ease Marti's nerves again… Knowing it was damn suitable for this awkward tension in the atmosphere and air, and would probably help her focus on her studies for now while she sorted this all out. All Marti can do is hope that it helps somehow, and that it will maybe let her sleep peacefully for once later on.
