Wow.
It's been eight years since I last updated "The Puppeteer." To be honest; I'd forgotten the site was even here. I had started writing professionally for several other sites, and also began a newspaper column. Life got very complicated, very quickly. Needless to say, fan fiction got pushed to the side. Fortunately, this story had already been written, and I came across the manuscript -complete with the final three chapters- buried in the bottom of a box full of papers while moving last November.
Because FanFiction (this site) has changed so much during these last years, I'm 'repairing' the previous chapters and uploading them again so they can be read as originally intended, complete with proper formatting and italics. The remaining chapters will be uploaded soon (the final chapter is finished, but chapters seven and eight need some tweaking, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to ride it out just another week or so. I promise this time that I won't leave you hanging again. Pinky swear, even.).
I'm curious if anyone who was reading this back in'02 is still around. If you are, I deeply apologize. I already knew the ending, but you and poor Davey have been suffering long enough. I hope you'll revisit the story, and I hope that you'll find the final chapter to be worth the wait.
If you're new to "The Puppeteer," I hope you'll find a story that brings you back to ER's glory days, and that all the characters come alive for you once again.
