Shattered Mirror 2

Sarah's head pounded. She felt as if her head would explode. She tripped over her feet trying to walk down the deserted road. She remembered the conversation she had just had at Nikolas' house. She remembered the memories that she had seen when she had taken Kristopher's blood. She wanted to turn around and run back into Kristopher's arms. She had felt so safe when he had kissed her.
She looked up, just in time to see the rain begin to fall all around her. She kept walking down the street. Her head hurt so much. She looked into a puddle on the street, expecting to see her blonde hair damp. But instead, she saw black hair surrounding her face, and her once blue eyes that were so of life, were blacker than the night skies and were deprived of the life that was once in them. As she was looking at her eyes, she noticed her face. Her once tan skin was paler than her whitest shirt.
She swore under her breath. "The knife would have suited me better," Sarah thought to herself. "How could I have accepted being the creature that I am?" Then she remembered. She had only accepted it because she couldn't live without Kristopher. She sighed, thinking of Kristopher. "No, I can't think of him right now," Sarah thought. "I need to learn to survive first. Then I will find him and we have eternity. It won't be too long."
Sarah knew she was lying to herself, but it made her feel better. She turned into the Single Earth building, and knew that she would be better after she had fed. She reached for the door, her heart beating rapidly. As her hand touched the cold door knob, she stopped. "Do I really want to do this?" Sarah thought. "Do I want to join something that I have been so against since the beginning?" Sarah sighed, and drew her hand away. She couldn't live like that. Already the pain was driving her mad. She stepped backwards and tripped over her feet. She turned just in time to break her fall. She cursed Kristopher for making her what she was. Sarah slapped herself. How could she have cursed the man she loved so. Sarah's head pounded. She looked up into the black sky for a last time. The bloodlust then took over. Sarah saw a shadow pass over her. Then, everything went black.
