"Naminé, I'm going to England." He mumbled while staring at the floor. My jaw nearly touched ground.
Roxas and I, we've been together for as long as I could remember. We were never separated once in our lives, and we did everything together, playing, school projects, and even celebrating our birthdays. And that same Roxas, who I have grown up with and grown so attached to, was telling me he had to move away. It made me so shocked I barely even blink.
"Hey, Roxas, you're joking right? That's a pretty lame joke, you know?" I tried to laugh it off with a light smile but seeing the blond's serious expression made any trace of a smile on my face disappear. "P-please tell me you're joking. This can't be true... It can't!" My body shook with the realisation that the person I held dearest to my heart was going away.
"I'm not joking, it's true. My grandfather just passed away, so my father needs to go and look after the company in his stead," His voice shook as he spoke.
"Wh-When are you leaving?" I stuttered out. My eyes were starting to get hot with the tears piling up.
"Today, right now actually." His eyes locked with the cold wooden ground.
"You idiot! Why didn't you tell me this sooner!?" My face was red with anger. "Why didn't you tell me something this important! If I didn't decide to visit your house today you would've never told me about moving at all, would you!?" Despite how angry I was, an endless river of tears was flowing down my cheeks.
"I didn't want to see you cry...didn't want to make you cry...that's why I never told you." Pain, sadness, and guilt were painted across the blond's face as he stared into my eyes. "Naminé, please, could you smile for me? I don't want my last memory of you to be one where you're crying."
"No... I won't smile for you," despite how hard I tried, my voice came out shaken and weak. Hearing my reply, Roxas sighed before giving me a pained smile.
"Fine, goodbye, Naminé," he turned around and started walking towards the door.
"I...I love you," Grabbing his hand, I murmured. He stopped in his tracks, startled, before pulling me into a hug and whispering, "I love you, too." In the heat of the moment, I pulled the blond down, crashing my lips against his. His lips were so soft, and having it pressed against mine just felt so...right. We stayed like that for awhile until both of us needed to pull apart for the much needed oxygen.
"So, when will I see you again?" I asked, hugging him tighter and burying my tear-stained face in his chest.
"Tomorrow, and the day after that, and everyday after that." He gave me a warm smile.
"Wait, didn't you have to go to England?" I looked up, genuinely confused by his words.
"Haha, looks like all those drama classes paid off if you believe me that much!" His smile changed into a toothy grin. "Well, no, not really. My dad allowed me to stay here, I just said that to make you admit your feelings. I did't think it's work, but I'm glad it did!" he chuckled.
"Y-You bastard! You stupid liar!" I felt my face growing hotter, and I punched the blond's chest repeatedly. "Don't you dare think of lying to me again!" I said, this time more of a whisper than a yell.
"Ouch! That hurts!" He laughed as he stroked my hair.
"Also," I muttered, my voice muffled by the blond's chest. "No sea-salt or any kind of ice-cream for a month as punishment for lying to me. And if I find you eating one, I'm kicking your sorry behind all the way to England," I let go of the blond and walked away, a gleeful smile on my face.
"Aww, come on! It's just a little lie! Naminé!"
