I looked sightlessly out open the lake, listening to the waves gently lapping against the shore.
It had been seasons upon seasons, more than any cat could count, since I had been outside. Although it was almost dusk and the chill of night was beginning to set in, the setting sun warmed my body.

I turned to check that my friend, Midnight, was still there. I only smelled crushed grass.

Alarmed, I swung my body around and saw a cat standing in Midnight's place, her fur both black as night and white as snow at once. Even though she wasn't a badger, I would recongnize that scent anywhere.

A purr rose from my throat. "Midnight." Her brilliant eyes were now the color of honey.

Then I realized something... I could see! I glanced down at my paw, then found myself staring at it as if it were a new type of prey. My claws were no longer twisted, and I was covered in soft white fur. I, Rock, who saw everything, had not seen this. I was finally freed of my burden.

But none of this mattered as I padded over to Midnight. Her body was warm as a greenleaf day.

"I love you," I told her.
Twining tails with me, she mewed, "I love you too."

Author's Note- Sorry it's so short! But at least now I know what the deepest, darkest corners of my mind do! I actually thought they had a better use than coming with odd Warriors pairings. Apparently, I was wrong.

Anyway, please review!
