Yo! It's me with yet another Kannazuki no Miko fanfic ( i'm over obsessing a bit). Takes place before episode eight, with a major plot twist before I continue.

Summary: Chikane is sick and tired of not being able to protect Himeko, but what can she do? One day as they walked to school Himeko accidently bumps into Chikane's back. A flash emits and a new mech rises. The Cosmic Ruin. Well... that takes care of protecting the girl, now all that's left is to get rid of Souma and get her alone. Review if you want another chapter.

Himeko and Chikane made their way to Ototachibana Academy among the other students. Chikane was walking a little further ahead than Himeko, lost deep in thought.

Himeko, can't you see that I want to protect you as well. But I can't, how can I? Souma has a mech he defends her with. What do I have? A bow and some arrows. On top of that, how do I even go about explaining these feelings I have for her? She sighed. This wasn't going well at all. She stopped to look up at the sky as if asking for help. No sooner than she stopped, Himeko ran into her from behind. Normally this wasn't important, but both of their marks flashed and she blacked out.

Mindscape:

Looking around Chikane noticed that she and Himeko were in a golden room and were standing on a dias. The dias contained a control panel with many different buttons and switches. Looking at Himeko once more, she noticed the girl staring and something. Following her sight, she saw a figure standing in front of them. She pulled Himeko behind, blocking her from the figures sight. And then it spoke.

"Greeting Priestesses, I am the one known to you as Kami"

Chikane's eyes widened. This was Kami. Did he know? Was he going to punish her for her attraction, dare she say it, love for Himeko? The figure held waved his hand dismissively.

"No, dear Chikane. That is not why I'm here nor is it something you should fear. Times change and the Gods with them. If you don't believe me, just look at your hands. I'm sure you're familiar with the significance of red thread."

The two girls looked at their hands and gaped. There pinkies were connected by a small red thread. Chikane's heart swelled, she and Himeko were destined lovers. Their fates tied together by the red thread. Her blue eyes gazed into Himeko's amethyst pools, shocked at the warmth they contained.

"Ano... Chikane-chan," Himeko murmured quietly,"Does this mean you like me too?"

Too!? Chikane's heart began beating rapidly. Her precious Himeko returned her feelings. She didn't hesitate and leaned forward bringing their lips together. They would've gone further, but they were interrupted.

"If you don't mind," said Kami, "I can get to why you're really here."

The girls both looked at Kami expectantly. Kami sighed before continuing.

"We are currently inside the mech Cosmic Ruin, your personal mech that had been designed for each reincarnation of the priestesses. All I can say is farewell priestesses, and may you live happily."

With that he disappeared and the two woke.

Conscious Realm:

Looking around she found that she was standing with Himeko in her arms, still on the path that lead to the school. Looking at the Solar Priestess' face she saw amethyst eyes looking at her, a small glint contained within. The smaller girl leaned up and pressed her lips against the bluenette's, ignoring the surrounding crowd.

"Aishiteru Chikane-chan."

"Aishiteru Himeko-hime"

Smiling, both girls clasped their hands together, once more walking toward the academy.
