Hogwarts rejection letters, Kithrin style.
Harry shifted his armor and sword as he sat down at his desk, a letter clutched in his hand, and a red bird on his shoulder. After finding the necessary writing materials, he began to write.
To the Headmaster:
I respectfully decline your invitation to join your school. I am currently training with a friend of my adoptive mother, and do not have time for this sick joke.
My fiancee and I already have been training for our profession for the last fifteen years, and have no intention of giving our plans up.
Attached is a gift for you, so that you'll leave me alone.
Sincerely,
Harry Bartel,
Adopted son of:
Mir Bartel
and
Croix Bartel
Harry then folded the letter and attached it to a box he had accidentally made. All the while chuckling, at the contents, and not for the first time, wondered why his adoptive mother rubbed off on him so much.
"Please take this to the headmaster, it contains my response," Harry said to the bird.
The bird took off from Harry's shoulder, and landed on the package and note. With a flash of fire the bird and package was gone.
Just then Harry's door opened and a cute girl with long black hair, and a pair of glasses stepped in, and said, "Harry, mom and dad are waiting at the practice field, they want to run through some drills."
"Thanks love, I just needed to write a letter," came the reply as Harry stood up. Sweeping his fiancee up in his arms, the armored young man gave her a kiss, and headed out to the practice field together.
At Hogwarts.
Dumbledore was at a staff meeting when the phoenix arrived carrying the package. "Ah, Fawkes, I see you brought Harry's response, and a gift."
Dumbledore became troubled as he read the letter, and with mild trepidation opened the box.
Suddenly the room became a giant ice cube, freezing all the Hogwarts staff into a giant block of ice. It would be weeks until the ministry was able to defrost the room enough to get the bodies out...
