Act 1: Muramasa
Okey dokey! Here comes a fic that was basically conjured by one of my readers and left to me in a review. Weird, ne? Demo, here goes! It is a crossover of my two favorite manga/anime, Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai Deeper Kyo! YAY!
MuramasaIt was a regular day at the Kamiya Dojo. Kaoru and Yahiko were arguing and Kenshin was doing the laundry. Sanosuke was expected to show up soon. Right on time Sano popped in. "Yo, Jou-chan," Sano greeted Kaoru, "Where's Kenshin?"
"He's doing the laundry in the back," Kaoru replied, "Any special reason you want to know?"
"I got something I want him to take a look at."
"Cool! What is it!" Yahiko had been silently listening until this point.
"A katana," Sano answered, "a guy gave it to me. C' mon, let's go show it to Kenshin."
"Oh, hello Sano," Kenshin said as he scrubbed some clothes, "I'm almost done with this batch of laundry Kaoru-dono."
"Oh, thank you, Kenshin," Kaoru smiled as she spoke, "but Sano has something he wants to show you."
"Oro?" Kenshin said as he left the laundry to stand beside the others, "Nando ma, Sano?"
"An old katana," Sano took out the katana which was indeed very old, "Some really scared looking guy gave it to me and ran away."
"Well," Kenshin began thoughtfully, "This looks like it was forged in the end of the Sengoku Era. A samurai in Sekigahara must have used it. It's also really long, like for long distances, or something. It was probably made my a legendary sword maker."
"Cool!" Yahiko said, "It's an antique katana! Unsheathe it, Kenshin!"
"All right, Yahiko but it probably will be a katana and of no use to us."
"So what! It looks so cool!" (Yahiko's a little too excited, ne?)
"Okay, but there's a bunch of paper covering it," as Kenshin spoke, he began taking off the paper that was all over the sheath, "Here goes." (Dramatic pause) As soon as the katana was fully drawn, a change in presence could be sensed by all of the Kenshin-gumi.
"Kenshin?" Kaoru was the first to speak after the silence, "Are you okay?"
The face that looked back was not Kenshin's, the most notable feature being the blood red eyes. "You, woman," he said, addressing Kaoru, "My name is Kyo, make that mistake again, and you die. Also, I must thank you for finding my Muramasa, I've been trapped there for 2 centuries," Kyo said with a smirk.
