Don't fall too hard for a girl like Manny.
He'd said it himself barely 3 months before. But that had been somehow different; he was different then. He's not sure if Manny was different then but she seems different now with her silky dark hair and uproarious laugh and eyes that have been through so much yet still seem so innocent.
He wonders what her lips are like. If they're anything like her smell they're incredible. He imagines they're like her skin; soft and warm but so much better because they're part of her smile.
He's noticed her before. She was the nervous grade 7; she was the geek on Paige's spirit squad; she was the grade 9 who Craig cheated on Ash with; she was the girl he'd warned JT about.
But that Manny and the one who got her snowcone on him can't be the same person. Because this girl's smart and sweet and she's finally seen passed the lead singer.
He has this urge to protect her. To keep her away from Craig so her smile will never leave. To put his arm around her and smell her sunblock like he smells Paige's even when he doesn't mean to.
And maybe he'd kiss her, if she'd let him. Not just because she's hot because she's more than that. He's not exactly sure why the desire to taste her kiss is so strong but it is and Paige and he's confused but Manny's laugh is pretty.
And he's already fallen. Hard. He's not sure if he can recover.
End
Author's Notes: I should have mentioned Paige more in this but I wanted to mainly focus it on Manny. I might do a sequel or companion piece and I will revise this. Soon. Anyone who will give this a belated betaing I will love forever.
