Step 1 – The Meeting
It wasn't an unexcepted metting. In fact, he knew it would happen. It was supposed to. He was excepting it to. Kyoya knew that, sooner or later, after he was out of school, he'd end up facing his own arranged marriage, no worries, no dellusions of love – like Tamaki's daily dellusions of such thing – no big deal. It was all included on his plans. Everything. Anyways, he was already decided on marrying someone for the good of his family business. As said, it was all in his plan.
And the day arrived. When it did, the meeting took place in Paris, to where he went first, without his father. He had to say that, yes, he did want to first meet you, alone. He'd have to read you, he was, deep down, curious, he wanted to quickly understand whatever was to understand and get this over with. Your family was not a well know family, but was not a new one either. Owners of a conglomerate that fixed it's eyes on scientific research and technological development. Not well know, for now. His father had his eyes set on all of this.
When he laid eyes on you, in the hotel restaurant, the first thing he could see was the obvious non-japanese traits. Foreinger bloods, quite pretty and interesting. The second thing was your expression, in short, it somewhat resembled his, just... a bit more, angry at the situation. You did not want to be here. But you were, anyway. Kyoya knew that you were the only daughter and the sole heir of your family's conglomerate. You were going to hold it and control it and, Kyoya could see that you were only here cause you knew this was for the best.
Strong, intelligent, strong willed and pretty. Good for an arranged marriage.
The two of you quickly enganged conversation and all he knew was just reinforced. But, one thing somewhat surprised him, you were sharp and straight to the point. It was at some point of the conversation that you started with a rather foreing expression that in moments he discovered that meant 'not to ignore the bigger issue at hand'.
"This marriage was not a choice from either of us, but us both know that it's for the better of our family business. So, I hope we can be civil to each other as long as it lasts."
There was the smalles hint of anger in your voice. Kyoya all but nodded. Yes, this was an arranged marriage. No, there was no love between the two of you. But, you were interesting. This seemed like it was going to be, at least, somewhat interesting.
