It was then; while she sat in the freezing cold Iceland that Toph decided she hated the South Pole. Not only because there was no earth for her to see with, but also because the ground she could stand on was frozen and cold and Toph actually had to wear something on her feet. Toph never wore shoes. They made it harder to see clearly, not that it mattered in the frozen world Sugarqueen and Snoozles called home.

So now Toph was sitting in an igloo, wearing a parka and boots, and feeling miserable and lost. Not to mention lonely. Katara and Zuko were off somewhere doing god knows what, Sokka was showing Iroh the hunting techniques his tribe used and Aang was…

Wait, where was Aang?

Then, as if on cue, Aang's voice filled her ears, as did the crunching of snow under his boots.

"What are you doing hear all alone?" he asked, and Toph heard him sitting down beside her.

"Being cold and blind, what else?" Came Toph's reply.

"Oh, right, you can't see with ice and snow, can you?" Aang said, sounding a little apologetic.

"No, I can't. Now, why don't you leave me alone and go penguin sledding or whatever other stupid things you do in this place." Being unable to see for extended periods of time made Toph moody, and it was starting to show.

It was quiet for a minute and Toph thought maybe he actually did leave, At least until she heard his cheerful voice say, "Hey, I know what'll cheer you up!" Then she heard the snow crunching as he moved around, and felt his hands on her shoulders. His hands began to get very warm, and the heat slowly spread through the rest of her body.

Just when Toph was beginning to relax, one of the village children called for Aang to come sledding, and the Avatar removed his hands from her shoulders, leaving to have childish fun in the winter wonderland.

Toph sighed, grabbing a nearby blanket and wrapping it around herself, trying to keep the warmth inside her.

"I never thought I'd say this, but I can't wait to get back on Appa," Toph grumbled to herself.

Author's note: Yeah, not that great, but I wanted to write about Toph going to the South Pole. I don't think there are many fics that talk about the Poles from her point of veiw, so I thought I'd make one.

Disclaimer; I don't own Toph. If I did, I'd be a very happy person.
