Cliffie: I saw on a forum at that Rikku wears Auron's coat and carries Masamune in FFX-2 for her Samurai dressphere. Being the Aurikku fan I am, I immediately looked it up in my strategy guide.
They were right. She does have both.
So this for the Aurikku fans out there. There IS hope, after all.

The sword is smooth in her hand. The hilt, wrapped carefully, is cold as ice. It always is when she first summons it.
"Auron! Hey, Auron!"
She loves this dressphere. She really does. If she could, she would wear it constantly. Sometimes she does go through a day without anything else.
"What?"
The red coat is cut short to fit her better. She wishes it was as long as it used to be. Still, it has the same smell as it did then. When he wore it.
"Can I hold your sword?"
Paine doesn't understand why she loves this particular dressphere. It's just like any other, she says, and takes more energy at that. Stop using it so much.
She would never stop using it, if she could. It's her only true keepsake from him.
Yuna knows. Yuna understands. And when she looks at the sword and coat, she gets this melancholy smile that makes Rikku's heart breaks. But it doesn't make her sad, like it does Yuna. It makes her happy to carry these remnants of him.
Surely, surely, he gave them to her. Surely. He's watching, she tells herself so often it's her mantra. He's watching, and he gives her these things when she changes spheres.
"Of course you can't, Rikku. Try to keep your idiocy under control."
Rikku smiles and leans her cheek against the hilt of the too-tall sword. Wrapped in the icy coat, she can almost imagine that its warm and that he's right next to her, that familiar scowl in place.
Still, he lets her hold onto his remnants, and that's enough.
