"Mary!?" Said Simon. "Yes" said Eric and Annie in unison. "Mary!?... No..." said Simon once again. "YES!" Eric, Annie, Matt, Kevin, Lucy, Ruthie, Roxanne, Chandler, and Peter all said at once. Sam and David walked in. "I don't believe it." Simon sighed There was a pause and then every body started talking at once: "What if they have twins?" "No way!" "That could never happen... could it?" "Now, lets all settle down! Its time for dinner." Annie cut in. "Dinner! Dinner!" Sam howled "I'm hungry!" David wailed .~. As every body settled down for dinner Carlos walked in looking incredibly uncomfortable. "Er, has anyone seen Mary?" Carlos said The Camdens all looked nervously from one to another but before anyone had a chance to speak Mary walked in carrying a suitcase. "Hey guys," Mary said, "you didn't start supper without me did you? I was bringing some of me and Carlos' stuff in so we could get settled. "Oh no that's fine with me. Annie replied, "Is it alright with you Ruthie, you don't mind if Mary stays in the attic with you?" "Actually," Mary cut in, "Me and Carlos were planning on staying in the attic...together." There was an almost unbearable silence and then Sam and David broke in; "Can we have ice cream for dinner?" Annie gave a weak laugh but sharply replied; "After dinner, ok?" "Ok" said Sam "Ok" said David Eric cleared his throat and everybody continued to stare and Mary and Carlos. Carlos cut in "uh, what Mary meant was that...um, we were going to put our stuff in there and ... "No we weren't!" Mary cut in. "Are you guys getting married?" Ruthie asked "Someday," Carlos said quickly changing the subject Mary opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by a loud knock on the door. "Anyone there?" a male voice said, "Annie? Eric?" "I'll get it." Said Kevin, surprising everyone by being the first one at the dinner table daring to say a word. IN the other room Kevin greeted the visitor and the CAmdens could hear a dull murmur of a male voice. "Um, Well, come on in then..." The visitor slowly walked in, "I hope I am not interrupting anything." Lucy, Ruthie, Simon, Matt, Annie, and Eric all took in a short breath. "Robbie!!!" Mary shrieked. "Robbie?" Carlos inquired.
