"T-tadase..." Amu said while stuttering in fear of rejection.
"Yes Hinamori-san?" Said a puzzled Tadase.
"I...I love you..." Amu told him and blushed.
"O-oh... Well.. I'm... I'm sorry... I don't... feel the same... I'm... terribly sorry..."
"O-oh... Okay..." Amu tried to hold back her tears, but couldn't take it anymore... She ran as far away from Tadase as she could. Tadase watched her the whole time. "I'm sorry..." He was so sorry and hurt. "...Hinamori-san..."
Amu finally stopped running. She huffed, puffed, and cried.
"How could Tadase do this to me? Thats the 2nd time hes done this..." She sobbed.
"Is there another girl?! I don't know..." She told herself.
Ikuto looked up, obviously hearing someone talking. He investigated and found out it was none other than Amu. He hid in the nearest tree. 'What is she doing?' He thought.
"Tadase!!!!" She cried and fell to the ground. It began to rain... hard.
'This is my chance.' Ikuto jumped out of the tree and walked over to Amu.
"Whats wrong?" Ikuto asked her gently.
"Huh?" She looked over to see a tall figure named Ikuto. "Oh its you... Why do you care?"
"I-i asked you first." Ikuto said cooly.
"Fine..." said a now annoyed Amu.
"So what happened?" Ikuto asked again.
"Well... I confessed to Tadase... B-" Amu said quitely but was interupted.
"...But he rejected you?"
"How did you know?"
"I can tell by your face expression."
"Of course..." She began to sob again.
"Hey its okay... You have many other chances." Ikuto tried to comfort her.
"Maybe your right... 3 times the charm. Right?"
"RIght, now theres the Amu I know."
"What do you mean?"
"Nevermind. Anyways... We should get out of this rain before-"
Amu sneezed loudly. Ikuto sighed.
"Okay... Here put on my jacket and get on my back. I'll take you to your house."
Ikuto took off his jacket, handed it to Amu, and lifted his hands behind his back signalling to get on.
Amu put on his jacket, got on his back, and blushed.
"T-thank you... Ikuto..." She said embarassed to say such a thing to him.
"No problem."
Amu layed her head gently on his back silently and fell straight asleep.
Ikuto looked over his shoulder, grinned, and ran quickly to her house.
As soon as he got to her house, he climbed up to her room window, and layed Amu gently on her bed.
"You owe me one... Amu."
He left the room disapearing into the gray clouds.
Amu heard him leave and awoke.
"Ikuto? Where am I?" She looked around noticing she was home, and that Ikuto was gone, but she also noticed she still had his jacket on her.
"He left his jacket?" She smelled it, thinking 'It smells just like him...' so she got up from her bed, took off the jacket, and gingerly set it on the back of her desk chair.
"Ikuto..."
"Amu..." Ikuto said quietly so that only he could hear his voice.
"...I love you..." They said in unison, unknowing eachother's feelings for that person.
