A boy about 17 yawned an banged his head on the desk as the class filled with students for morning classes " a second year...again. BAHHH! boring..." he muttered. "come now Edogawa-kun,it's not SO bad. atleast you know the material and can read ahead getting a jump on next year" a voice behind him said.
"Easy for you to say Haibara,you already know every lesson untill you're a post Grad" he muttered turning to her and she chuckled.
As the student's desks filled up the teacher walked in. She was a nice woman by the name of Yamanaka Kaoru. "welcome everyone! get out your English text books and turn to page 8"she said loud enough so they can took out their books and finished up their morning rituals.
A girl in a long ponytail came running in and sat next to Conan,panting, she set her stuff up "Himitsu-San you're late!" the teacher said staring at her "G...Gomen , my dad asked me to make a big breakfast this morning and "someone" took off without coming to get me" she turned glaring at him.
"S..sorry Ran" he whispered to her "not today Mister 'make breakfast and then run off'. you're not getting away that easy shinichi" she whispered back.
"Before we start i want you all to know Valentine's Day is Tomorrow. I don't want giving out chocolate to distract you from your schoolwork, so give them out and eat them on your breaks, ok?" Yamanaka-san said writing the assignments on the board
"HAI!!" the class answered.
"Geez, Valentine's Day? Do i have to give Any Chocolate? i know i'm not gonaa get any" A boy muttered "Genta that's because Yumiko-Chan has a crush on you. you're not Gettin' Any because she's always with you" mitsuhiko said reading.
"yumiko-chan? isn't she the pastery chef that's training in the Home-Ec room every thursday?" Ayumi Asked putting her finger under chin thinking "Yeah! she can cook really well and is getting better. she wants to own a resturaunt after We graduate!" Genta said excited "good for you Genta-kun!" ayumi laughed claping her hands. "yeah...good foor you..."Mitsuhiko muttered under his breath "you know Mitsuhiko. Ever since fourth grade you've become nothing but apathetic and boring..."Genta stared at him.
"well excuse me...not my fault, you guys are childish."he said as he continued read. He remembered why he changed so much, why he knew so much. he looked at Ai-chan and sighed 'it's been Ten years Ai-chan. Ten LONG years but...atleast i'm not the only one to go through it' he thought.
"CHILDISH! why i outta.." "Genta! calm down!!" ayumi was trying to get genta away from mitsuhiko "YOU'RE the one that dissapeared for two years! we thought you DIED in that fire!" he slamed his book on the table "DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT!?"he screamed "oh I WILL! you dissapeared for two years and never contacted us. you're FAMILY died in that fire!" as soon as he said that a hand smacked his face " KOIJIMA-SAN! stop it! don't bring up that incident it's still hard. Mi-chan calm down!" Haibara said getting between them "S...shi-chan.."mitsuhiko said calming down and backing away.
"ANOTHER THING! why do you call Ai, Shi-chan? is it some weird pet name?" genta said backing off. it was their turn to shout both at the same time "NO! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKIN' ABOUT?!"
"shinichi...what did happen?" asked a girl named Rin Himitsu. she leaned over to Conan and whispered "something serious?" he nodded "yeah, something we CAN'T mention here." conan whispered back leaning to her "Ran, are you sure you're ok with this? what about your job?" he asked
"for the last time shinichi, i chose this and i put in my resignation anyway. going through high school again won't be so bad" she whispered kissing his cheek "yeah but you didn't go through elementary and middle school all over again" he muttered. she hugged him laughing "Aww poor baby"
