THE TAKE OVER

"Dam it, dam it, dam it." Lorelai said reaching for the coffee she just spilt on the floor of her jeep as she swerved to stay in her lane. She reached for napkins in the glove department to clean up the coffee that splattered onto the passenger seat. "That's just great!" "This is not the day to be doing this to me coffee. I thought we were friends!"

She was on her way to the inn becoming fashionably late, which in her eyes was just simply fashionable.Today was the first opening of the inn that Sookie and Lorelai had spent more time and money into over the last year than she can bare to think about. But all that work has added up to the dream that she has had for longer than she can remember.

Today would be the test run. They were inviting all of their family and friends from Stars Hollow to be the first people to stay in the Dragonfly. Everything had to be perfect, actually it had to be more than perfect. Especially if we were going to be able to satisfy Taylor and his straight head ways. Gosh I hate him sometimes. I guess this town wouldn't have stayed the same over these many years if it wasn't for his crazy ass ways!

She pulled up into the beautiful parking lot of the inn. Its so amazing how something so torn down and ragged had became so beautiful and peaceful. She always dreamed and planned about how it would look in in her head, but now driving up in person and seeing the actual end results of her dream leaves her in aw. How could things get any better. Well… she thought to herself binging her mind back to the last few weeks and how Luke has made her feel like there was something more between them. What is the deal with him? Are we dating? Because he hasn't said we were, but it has sure feels like it. And those looks he has been giving me…those are not normal Luke looks. There is defiantly something different. We had a moment on the porch after his sister wedding. I can't say that being with Luke hasn't crossed my mind before, but there is just too much at stake if we make something of it and it doesn't work out. I would never be able to have his coffee again! "That would be the end of the world, more like end of the universe!" She said as she chuckled at the thought. It would hurt Rory, she loves him so much. Plus the town. It just would be too much.

She got out of the car reaching for the coffee soaked napkins and the now empty coffee cup from Luke's Diner. Today was the perfect day for a test run; it is beautiful outside. As she made her way up the steps she messed with the flowers making sure that one leaf wasn't out of place. Normally Lorelai wouldn't be so picky about these types of things…but today was different.

All of the people started arriving in their carts on time. Babette's cart was the first to pull up. "Lorelai, its just so beautiful!" sounding like a five year old seeing Disney Land for the first time. "Thanks Babette. I hope you enjoy your stay.""Do we need to carry our own bags in?" Babette asked."No, we have strong guys to do that for you."Lorelai walked back towards the steps as all of her friends walked into the inn sharing their thoughts about how wonderful everything is.She wasn't focusing on all of their complements. She was wondering where Luke was, and if he ended up not being able to come This isn't going to be right if he can't make it. This won't be perfect.
