Alright, another story. Inspired by Barbie's version of The Nutcracker. Of course there is the twist of the characters of Howl's Moving Castle being involved in it. If you haven't seen the Barbie version than don't worry, I will stay as close to the plot as I can. I have listed all of the characters and who plays them from what I can remember below. I hope you enjoy this. Please review and stay human!

Drosselmeyer- witch of the waste (nanny)

Clara- Sophie

Tommy (Clara's younger brother)- Michael

Aunt Elizabeth- Sophie's mom

Nutcracker- Howl

Mouse King- Suliman

Wise Owl (I am changing it to Wise Angel)- Lettie (with wings)

Major Mint- Calcifer (as a human. I will describe what he looks like later)

Captain Candy- Heen (yes, a dog is a captain in this particular story)

Chapter One: Mother And Presents

Once upon a time...

There lived a girl named Sophie. She lived with her grandmother, Nanny, while her mother was traveling. However, she was never alone. She always had her little brother, Michael, to play and talk with. It was Christmas Eve. The doors to the ball room, which was where Sophie and Michael were practicing their waltz at the time, opened and Nanny came in with a visitor.

"Mom!" Michael and Sophie shout as they ran up to their mother, who was holding two boxes. Sophie took the boxes and placed them by the tree while Michael hugged her first. When Sophie returned, she was able to hug her mother.

"Welcome home mother," Sophie said.

"It is so good to see you two again. I simply MUST tell you about the ball I attended to," their mother said. Michael scrunched up his face and walked way from the two girls. The girls went to the couch to sit and talk.

"Did you get to dance with any one?" Sophie asked.

"Yes, I got to dance with the King!" Mother squealed. Sophie giggled at her mother's enthusiasm.

"Did you say yes?"

"I couldn't very well say 'no' to the King, now can I? OH! I have presents that I want you and your brother to open right now!" Mother said with excitement.

"They can wait until tomorrow," Nanny scolded. Mother ignored Nanny and glided over to the tree and grabbed the two presents that Sophie had placed by the tree. She handed a silver wrapped present to Michael and a purple wrapped present to Sophie. Michael tore open his first. Inside was a little figurine with red hair, tan skin, amber eyes, and was wearing a little Major uniform. Next to the figurine was a little dog figurine with a little captain hat on.

"Thanks mom!" Michael says as he starts playing with his figurines. Sophie started to unwrap her present. Inside was a a nutcracker with black hair that went down to his shoulders. He wore a red guard outfit and a red hat to match.

"Wow! Thank you mom," Sophie said as she hugged her mom. Michael saw the nutcracker and went over to Sophie.

"I want to see!" Michael said as he tried to grab the nutcracker.

"Michael!" Sophie cried. There was a snap and one of the arms to the nutcracker went limp. Sophie walked to the couch and pulled a ribbon out of her hair. She tied it around the nutcracker's arm like a sling.

"I think it's time for bed," Nanny said as she pulled Michael away. Sophie's mother walked over to her and sat on the couch.

"There is a story behind that doll," her mother said.
"They say that he used to be a powerful wizard named Howl. However, an evil, old sorceress thought that he was being heartless and childish. So she froze his heart and turned him into a nutcracker. He is never to return to his land until he fines his true love to break the curse."
