Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers, Kim would never have written the letter and Kat would have had to suck it up if I did, trust me. Anyway…
Pure fluff of how I'm imagining Kim asking Tommy to the vice-versa dance in Goldar's Vice-versa.
~~~Kim and Billy in the Youth Center~~~
"Thanks so much, Billy, for helping me out with the decorating for this dance, especially since Tommy bailed on me to go work out with Rocky." The petite brunette was up on a ladder, just starting to hang up some streamers. She was the head of the decorating committee for the annual Vice-versa dance. Some girls may have been freaking out about who to ask to the dance, but not her. She knew she had Tommy to go with her as a date and that made her feel like the happiest girl in the world. The event was only going to be better now that Adam had found a date; all of her friends had someone to go with.
Billy looked up from where he was working, "My pleasure, Kim, but I thought you said that Tommy and Rocky were coming to help?"
"They're meeting up here before their workout, but as far as I know, they aren't staying long. Unless I can convince them to…" Kim let out a little giggle thinking about how she could convince her boyfriend to stay and help with something this girly. "Oh, hey, there he is." Kim hopped off the ladder and walked over to Tommy.
"Hey beautiful." Tommy leaned down to give her a quick peck on the lips. "Wow, it sure looks like you two have your work cut out for you. I would love to stay and help but-"
"No need for the misstatement, Tommy, we both know that the only way you'll stay to help is if Kimberly's life depended on it." Billy went back to his work to let the couple have a few minutes alone before Rocky came in.
"Ha, yeah, he's right. I really don't envy your job at all. I may not even see the finished product."
Kim looked up at Tommy in confusion, "why would you not see it when it's done?" Of course he was going to come to the dance, wasn't he?
"Well, I haven't been asked by anyone I really want to go with. It's not like a normal dance where I can just go up and ask the girl and I don't want to be mean by showing up dateless when I've had to tell girls no already." He looked down at Kim with a playful smirk on his face.
Kim wasn't seeing the humor in this, "You've had to turn girls down? Are you kidding me?"
"Oh, yeah, Alice Mahen asked me just before fourth period today, and then yesterday Julie Chen asked me if I'd go with her. But I don't really want to go with either of them. Although if the girl I really like never asks me, I might have to go back and talk to Alice before tonight."
Kim was seeing red. Who in this school didn't know that they were a couple? They had been together for a while now, who did those girls think they were? "Tommy Oliver, you had better not go talk to her and you know it. You are coming to this dance with me and that is final!" She was breathing hard after this and crossed her arms across her chest, daring Tommy to say anything different.
"Yes ma'am. Jeez, Kim, I've never heard you give an order like that. You know I was joking, right, beautiful? Not about being asked, but about the possibility of going with anyone but you. I wouldn't dream of going with anyone else. Certainly not when I've got the best girl in the school right in front of me." He pulled at one of her hands and her arms uncrossed so he could pull her to him.
"I would never ask anyone else, either, Handsome. I've got the greatest guy I could imagine right here." Kim looked up into those eyes she loved and their lips met in a sweet kiss.
