A/N: Not really taking a break from my other fanfic, but this is a more personal one located around an certain headcanon I have for Tsuna which I felt needed to be released into a story of sorts. Consider it drabble, oneshot or whatever.
Sawada Tsunayoshi, or "No-Good Tsuna" as others would refer to him. He was your average kid in your average middle school. He never really got good grades, he was never really all that good at sports and he was scared of little things like Chihuahuas. These intricacies made him the boy he is today, a quiet boy with no real friends, no one to rely on for comfort, no one. Sure there were people who were casually nice to him: Sasagawa Kyoko, Yamamoto Takeshi who were both in the same class as him, but he never considered them real friends - it was in their nature to be nice to everyone.
On a good day, Tsuna would just be able to go to school, not be noticed really by teachers, not be bothered by anyone and would just sit alone eating lunch, doing whatever. No one would ever imagine what his life would have been like before he met Reborn. On the bad days, he would get picked on by teachers, needing to answer questions out loud only to be humiliated by them, ridiculed by the rest of his class. He would come really close to being beaten up by the jock type student in the Baseball Club, if it weren't for Hibari Kyoya - his future Cloud Guardian biting them to death for ganging up on him. This wasn't the only thing getting him down, the inability to even mention his confession to Kyoko. Sometimes his thoughts would randomly be said out aloud, about anything: missing homework, confessing to Kyoko, how much he hated life and so on. It was a harsh life for the brunette.
The most depressing part of his past is that he doesn't have someone to confide in with all his problems with schoo. His mother with her happy-go-lucky attitude would just shrug off anything he tried to tell her. After school on a bad day, he might've been trounced in mud from being beaten by bullies, she would think it's just a normal school thing, like tripping over in a PE session. He wouldn't bother telling her anyway - she wouldn't understand. On those extremely bad days which would usually start with him muttering something over Kyoko, and her friends thinking he's disgusting, he would skip eating dinner, tormenting himself over the fact that he had said something he didn't mean to say out loud. Tsuna would sometimes on days like this just let all of the buildup flow out and cry for hours, thinking about everything he's gone through. Curling up into a ball on his bed, tears flowing from his face just thinking about whether anything could change to better his life. It was truly a sad life for Sawada Tsunayoshi before meeting his Arcobaleno tutor.
