Lionesses Are To Be Feared... Right?

Chapter 1

Luv

Hermione had just boarded the train for the beginning of her seventh and final year at Hogwarts. She sat down in the usual compartment waiting for Harry and Ron. Hermione lay on one seat w her head facing the door.

She was wearing boot-cut blue jeans, a grey/green silk, sleeveless tunic with sequence under both breasts, a small black blazer, and black heels and her hair was in a pony-tail. Over the summer Hermione had decided to get her nose pierced, which now held a golden stub.

Hermione stood up hearing footsteps, which she expected to be Harry and Ron's; her gold ankle bracelet made a soft jingling noise. The compartment door slid open, but when she saw who it was, the grin she was wearing fell from her face.

" Oh, it's just you." she said dully as Draco Malfoy walked in and closed the door, locking it behind him.

" Well, well, well, aren't you a site for sore eyes?" he told her casually. His apparance had changed, but only his hair, which was now slightly wavy.

" So I suppose you're Head Boy?"

" And you Head Girl."

Hermione let out a pouty sigh and went to resume her seat she had been sitting on previous to him walking in. He walked over to where Hermione laying and crouched down right next to her. " What's this?" he asked innocently holding up a black, leather-bound book reading ' The Dark Arts Throughout The Ages'. She snatched the book away from him with a guilty scowl.

" It's okay, I'm not holding anything against you." he reached up to cup her cheek.

" Malfoy?" she asked in a soft voice.

" Yes." he replied rubbing his thumb over her bottom lip.

" This can't happen again." she told him quietly.

" What can't happen again?" he asked, his eyes never leaving her lips.

" You, me. What happened last year was a mistake." She moved her hand to hold his. She slowly stood up pulling him up with her. " I'm over you."

" Don't lie to yourself. You'll never be over me. No matter how many times you've told yourself you are, deep down inside you know you aren't."

" I am."

" You are, are you? Okay, lets test that theory shall we." he moved his face so close she couldn't focus on him anymore. His lips barely brushed hers'. He didn't kiss her , but oh, how she wanted him to. He kept taking his lips away before doing the same thing all over again. She closed her eyes just as his lips left hers.

" Face it luv, no matter what you say or do, you'll never be over me."

" Don't call me that." she told him quietly, yet sternly as her eyes fluttered open.

" What?"

" Luv. Don't call me Luv."

" Luv? I've always called you luv; even when I hated you I called you luv."

" Please... please just leave me alone. I won't get messed up with you again. Now leave!" she told him pointing her finger at the door for him to leave.

" Just wait a sec," he bent down slightly.

" Draco... don't." she begged. But he didn't listen. He gently kissed her. Her arms found their way around his neck and her hands found their way into his hair. She sat down, pulling him down with her. She rolled over on her back and he moved on top of her. She smiled and giggled against his lips. He held her wrists above her head. This brought her back.

Hermione pulled her lips and wrists away from him. She pushed him off her and he fell on the floor. Draco sat up looking at her. She still lay there looking at him with a guilty scowl.

" You love me and you know it... and you hate yourself for it." he got up and brushed himself off. " See you at the sorting Luv."
