DISCLAIMER: I OWN NOTHING!!!!!

All this belongs to Tite Kubo and bleach, kay? Yuri, eventual lemon, don't like don't read!

Trudging silently across the field from the house to the land leading to the soul Society entrance gate, Rukia Kuchiki quickly passed through the gate and headed off to report to her superior.

"Ah, Rukia, mission accomplished I presume?"

"Yes sir."

"Don't feel bad about it; it had to be done."

"Okay sir, thank you Captain, I think I'll go to my room to reflect upon it."

Rukia walked swiftly through the paths, past fourth company and towards her quarters. She slipped past 6th Division Assistant Captain Renji Abarai and crashed down on to her bed. She couldn't help it, tears spilled out. She lay there for what felt like hours just crying her heart out. Why did she have to kill Kaien? Why couldn't someone else have returned his body to the Shiba family?

She got up silently and paced around her room, thinking of the battles and good times she'd had with him. Reaching the kettle she filled it up. After making herself a mocha, she slowly sank down at her desk to write her report. As she carefully wrote out the report, her eyes caught the glimmer of something shiny hidden just underneath the instructions for her next assignment. Rukia passed it away as though it was nothing. After hurriedly writing her concluding statement and, anxious not to be seen, slipped cautiously through the remainder of the Soul Society and snuck into Captain Ukitake's office, leaving a note and her report on his desk. She left a kido upon this note so no one else could read it. She then diminished her spiritual energy and stole back to her room. Warily locking the door, she strolled over to her strangely messy desk and began hunting for the shiny object she felt sure was a note.

Ah ha! She had found it! Rukia snatched it up and began to read it as she made her way steadily to her bed. It was from Rangiku, wishing her luck with her next assignment and telling her not to be down about it. After all it was the most difficult thing in the world to kill someone you care about, but if it was their wish for you to do it you should grant it, and restore their honour as well as letting them die in a peaceful manner.

"Rukia....."

"RUKIA!"

"I know you're there, can I come in?"

"Please Kuchiki; no one should be alone when they have to go through this kind of thing."

"Did you get my note?"

"Rukia, I will break your door down, you know I will!"

"Oh FINE!"

Rukia opened the door a tiny bit and peered through the crack. RANGIKU! Assistant Captain Matsumoto pushed the door open, picked up Rukia and silently placed her on the bed.

"C'mon Rukia, no one should be so down when they have a girlfriend to cheer them up."
