Wings Of Fire
if you have heard of divinity 2 ego draconis. its about a dragon slayer gaining the power to turn into a dragon. For a better understanding of the story. In the game, your character is an apprentice dragon slayer, meaning he has not killed any dragons, to become a full fledged dragon slayer he is given the memories of dragons to help combat their magic.
Your character then goes to a village to slay his first dragon, when he meets the dragon, its fuses with your character and he/she become a dragon knight, a person sith an increased physical body and is capable of transforming into a dragon.
A possible idea would be to have the main character getting transported to the land of Pyrrhia, you could have him/her meet the dragonet of destiny and with him being confused and lost, convinced them to let him tag along with them on their journey. you could have the meet either in the scarlet's arena in the first book and he gains their trust that way. Or have him meet them latter on in the story.
the two paragraph below are a possible beginning for a story. If you want to use my OC which will be made soon, as well as the story, go ahead and uses it, u don't need to have my permission, I would like to have PM or a review letting me know if you are using the idea, because I would like to read your adaptation or continuation of this story.
Another possible start is to have him(your character) be called to a meeting with a friend who is a sorcerer, human are afraid of him because they know that he can turn into a dragon and dragon don't like him because he was originally a human. he know that he will never find love and everybody can recognize him, so his friend(the sorcerer) provides him with an alternative. He can transport him to a different world, where no one knows him, a world that has humans and dragon. his friend is offering him the opportunity to start over, have a new life, and your character agrees.
he gets transported to a different world, knowing that he will probably never be able to go back, he arrive near the entrance to the cave that the talons of peace are keeping the dragonets of destiny, and hears a commotion. Being curious about this new world, he goes to investigate, only to be captured by Queen Scarlet, he is brought along with the dragonets of destiny to her arena.
it would be interesting to see how a former dragon slayer that changed into a dragon reacts to being in a world that is ruled by dragons and is at war.
it would be interesting to see how he would react and interact to the dragonets of destiny, him, being a former dragon slayer.
