I thought I'd never be able to get away from them. I'd run faster and faster, but they would seem to always catch up. What was it about me they wanted so badly...
The young stallion continued to run through the darkened forest, the treeline seemed to grow thicker, the trunks getting closer with each step.
They'd never follow me through here, it's too easy to get lost for anyone to just run here blindly.
The tan stallion slowed his pace from a full sprint to a light trot. Trees that towered around him seem to ease his fears to an extent. He may have escaped his persurer for now, but how long until they give chase again, he was unsure. Perhaps the adreniline helped keep him from feeling any pain, but as quickly as he slowed his pace the young stallion fell to the ground. He never had to run that far for that long to get away from anything.
I can't just lay here and die... I need to get back up and go. The injured pegasus thought to himself as he got up to his hooves, the pain was nearly unbearable. Tears started to fall from his face as he recalls to the past few days.
Who were they... What did- He started to think, only to collapse back to the ground. He couldn't move at all, not only were his legs near ruined from his sprinting, his left wing was broken from his persuer when he first made his escape. His eyes started feel heavier with time, his breathing getting more spuratic.
"I need to get to safety..."
The forest grew darker, the young stallion wasn't sure if this was from the sun lowering, or if he was passing out. Either way, he knew there would be trouble in his near future. After laying there a few minutes longer, he attempts to get back on his hooves to continue his journey. His front two legs were able to hold his weight, he could feel the trembling vibrate through out his body. The back two follow pursuit fairly quickly, surprising the young stallion immensely. With one deep breath in he started his journey again, with in time the pain grew back in his knees, each step feeling like it would be the last. The sheer determination was all that kept the stallion on track, when would he find safety? He was starting to doubt he would come across such a fate. To his surprise he came across to ponies playing playfully in the forest. Although he was thankful that there were a couple of ponies to help him get back to civilization, curiousity struck him.
Why are these ponies playing out in the middle of the Ever-Free For-
A burning pain shot through his front right leg, cutting off his thoughts instantly. He yelled out in pain, leaning against a nearby tree for extra stability as he looked over his wounds. Lacerations covered around his leg. Were they there before he nearly passed out, or while trotting through the dense forest vegatation? He couldn't remember, the only thing he wanted more was to get out of here and hopefully to safety. Little did the injured stallion know, the two ponies that were playing with one another were now surrounding him, murmuring to each other about what they should do with him.
"Please... Get me to safety." The stallion uttered before passing out in the forest.
