A/N: Okay, so I have only just gotten into Lost and fell in love with Boone, as many did before me, so when I saw him die I cried! Yes, I cried over a character that isn't real, and a guy who later got reincarnated as a vampire. So, please bare with me, this is my first Lost fanfic, and maybe my last.. I'm not sure right now.. Also please bare with me and my liking of Shannon and Boone together, I personally could see them as more then what they made themselves as. Please R&R, and tell me if I should do more.

Summary: She never cried for him while he was alive, she never cried when people watched and so in the quiet of the night the tears finally fall for him.

Rating: K

Disclaimer: I own nothing, meaning no characters and not the lyrics either. The plot line is mine, but sadly that is it.

The night was still, not a sound could be heard for miles, and from what Shannon could tell was that everyone was asleep, but to make sure that she was not heard she went from where she had been sleeping only moments ago to the one place she could truly be alone. Shannon was going to the place where they had brought Boone in order to try and save his fading life, and as soon as she looked around the weight of her sorrow was just too much to bare and she fell to her knees as her arms wrapped around herself, because he was not there to do it for her.

Hot tears soon fogged in her line of vision as she closed her eyes, making the tears spill over her eyes and down her flushed cheeks, and soon her body began to tremble as she remembered every moment they had shared together. Her eyes soon slowly opened, and she took in the area she had collapsed in, her vision still blurred from the tears her mind played out scenes from what more then likely happened once they had gotten Boone here, and how they tried to save him, oh how she wished she could of been there, to hear him speak his final words, to hold his hand as he took his final breathes.

She never cried for him while he was alive, she never cried when people watched and so in the quiet of the night the tears finally fall for him.

If only she had been there, she cursed herself for not, if only she had been better-no better wasn't good enough she wanted to be.. nicer to him while he was alive, and no matter how many times she tried to think of the good times they shared together the tears would not stop, and she knew deep down that nothing could ever make them either. But as her body calmed dawn was breaking, and so with shaking limps she stood, her breath coming in between gasps for air as she tried to stop the tears, she then took a few steps before speaking to the wind.

"I'm sorry Boone, I just wish I could of made things better," Pausing as the small wind picked up slightly over her, Shannon shivered slightly and smiled as the tears stopped and stung on her hot cheeks. "Thank-you for everything..including forgiving me when I know I do not deserve it."

This is the moment it's on the line
Which way you gonna fall? In the middle between wrong and right
But you know after all...
