Disclaimer: Don't own, blah, blah, blah.
A/N: I was thinking of something Voldy said on page 309 of the Chamber of Secrets… "Little Ginny's been writing in it for months and months, telling me all her pitiful worries and woes - how her brothers tease her, how she had to come to school with secondhand robes and books, how" -Riddle's eyes glinted- "how she didn't think famous, good, great Harry Potter would ever like her…" So naturally I had to have some fun with this! Also, I know my titles are original, you don't have to compliment me. And lastly, yes, that was another Starkid reference at the end.
Ginny had seen Harry Potter in the corridors of Hogwarts. She had waved to him and called to him, but to no avail. Harry rarely responded. Perhaps the waves were more like a twitch of three fingers and the calls were mutters, but still, it didn't feel good when there was no reply. Maybe Harry didn't really care, or maybe he just thought she was annoying. Regardless, there was only one thing Ginny could do. She sat on her bed, drew her curtains, and pulled out her black, leather diary and a quill. She flipped it open and began to write.
Tom?
The ink sunk into the page and disappeared. New ink appeared, forming a word.
Hello.
Ginny started writing again.
This is Ginny.
A moment of silence passed.
Ugh.
What?
I mean yay! How's your day been, Ginny?
Alright, I guess...
Great. Goodnight then!
Wait! I need your help!
What do you want?
It's about Harry Potter.
Harry Potter?! I'm listening...
Right, so for the past week, I've been waving and saying "Hi" to him, but he never responds! He doesn't notice me! I think he only knows me because I'm Ron's sister! What if he thinks I'm annoying? You don't think I'm annoying, do you, Tom?
What? Uh... Of course not...
What do I do?
Um... I don't know... Make him a card or something?
I'm not really a good artist.
Yet!
What?
I've found that if you put the word yet at the end of a sentence, it makes it more positive. I haven't killed Harry Potter... Yet.
Huh?
Never mind. What I'm saying is that if he's really such a great person, he won't care if you're not a great artist.
Do you really think so?
Sure...
Thanks, Tom! You're fantastic!
Uh... Yeah, sure... No problem...
You're the best diary ever!
It's a journal! Diaries are for girls!
I am a girl.
I'm not!
Well, thanks anyway! I'll talk to you later!
Ugh.
