Ear piercing screams shot through the dark night.
Blood-stained hands.
Tear-stained faces.
Disheveled hair and clothing.
Limp, lifeless bodies lying on the floor in pools of their own blood.
A small, paralyzed child shivering in a cramped corner.
I don't remember every little detail; I mean, it was a dark night and it happened so long ago. I only remember fragments of that day every so often, but then I'd forget them.
Yes, that helpless child was me. Oh, how I was petrified; I couldn't even scream for help. I was fortunate enough to keep my life¾or did the murderer miss me on purpose? It remains a mystery.
Try to recollect all my memories is driving me insane. All I know is that I survived an accident, and I had amnesia. So I don't have any memories of my family or anybody. I don't even remember how I caught amnesia.
The doctors were afraid that it could be permanent, and they did whatever they could to help me retrieve my memories. When they couldn't find a cure, they just told me to try to find things that could spark my memory.
Tch. Like that would help. I swear, doctors don't give very good advice, except just prescribing medication. Or at least, the doctors over here. That's why I want to go to a medical college and help contribute to the medical world that's in horrible shape.
Anyway, ever since that incident, a relative of mine was kind enough to take me in. She's supposedly my father's cousin, but heck, how would I know? She just told me that she's known my since I was an infant, and that I have to call her "auntie."
Although I have no recollection of the massacre (my aunt says to call it that), I know for a fact that it had involved someone close, and that the incident was caused by someone I know. I'm actually surprised I remember that much.
Therefore, I, Sakura Haruno, refuse to trust anyone that easily ever again. Never ever again will something like that happen, not my watch.
This is an updated version of the first chapter.
The previous one was awfully short, soooo yeah...
Anyway, I think this needs improvement, considering this is my first time and all.
Please tell me what you think && what needs some improving to do! (;
