My attempt of writing a Hunger Games and Harry Potter crossover. Hope you enjoy. Don't sue me. ^.^
The entire school gathered into the Great Hall. Parents were there too, desperately hoping their child would not be chosen. 16 children WERE chosen though- 4 from each house. As always, Dumbledore started with Gryffindor.
"The first from the girls is..." Dumbledore picked out a slip. "Lavender Brown."
The crowd heard a girl wail before steeping forward to the front. The poor girl's parents weren't here.
"Our first boy champion is..." Dumbledore picked a slip from the boy's ball. "Cormack McLaggen."
Cormack McLaggen treated this as a honour and stepped forward proudly.
"Our next girl is..." Dumbledore drew out a slip. "Ginerva Weasley."
Ginerva-or Ginny- went pale. She clapped her hand over her best friend's, Hermione Granger, mouth because she knew Hermione would volunteer. Her extended family were crying over the fact that their youngest family member was going to fight for death.
"Ginerva? Please step out." Dumbledore said. Ginny bravely went to the front. "And out last one from Gryffindoris... Harry Potter."
Harry expected this. Every year, his name was picked but someone always volunterered for his place. This year, he wasn't going to let anyone die for him, though. He hurried forwards.
"That's our Gryffindor champions!" Dumbledore said loudly. The hall applauded. This carried on until Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin were done too.
"Our Hogwarts champions!" Dumbledore shouted. "Lavender Brown, Cormack McLaggen, Ginerva Weasley and Harry Potter from Gryffindor; Cho Chang, Cedric Diggory, Louisa Cardrow and Richard Glow from Ravenclaw; Hannah Abbot, Justin Finch-Fletcher, Lucy Lugg and Steven Sheel from Hufflepuff; Pansy Pasrkinson, Vincent Crabbe, Anastasia Lewis and Blaise Zabini from Slytherin. You may all return to your dormitories.
