Father, did you not love me like you said you did? Did your peers take your life, or was it your own selfishness? I don't understand. I thought that you would be with me forever, like you said so. You said you would teach me, help me, love me. But now you're gone!
I was running through the western park in Konoha, and my father was chasing after me. We were both smiling and laughing. Suddenly, I got tackled to the ground. I looked up and saw my father, and he started rustling my hair. I pushed his hand off and crawled out of his grip, starting to run again. It was only a minute before he caught me again.
"Daddy!" I yelled, trying to break free of his grip.
"I'll never let go!" He growled before getting off and letting me off. He sat down, and I sat next to him. "Kakashi, I love you."
"Daddy, do you promise to be around forever?" I smiled up at him.
"Yes Kakashi, I promise. I promise."
I can't stop thinking of the days when we would play together in the parks. You would tell me about your missions, and I would tell you about my friends. I miss those days. Why did you have to go?
I ran up to my father and gave him a hug. My head was only at his thigh and my arms were too short to get around his broad legs.
"Daddy! You're home!" I yelled happily.
"Yes Kakashi, I'm home," He smiled back, pulling me up onto his back and carrying me into the house. He set me down and leaned up against the wall.
"Can you tell me about your mission?" I asked, way too excited.
"Of course my son. Where should I start...? Well, I was at the top of a tree, surrounded by at least ten sand ninja. They were all about to attack at once when I threw a smoke bomb down and disappeared. They had no idea where I was. I was just on the other side of the tree!" He laughed. I began to laugh too. "Then, I struck! I got the closest one first, getting him right in the gut! For the next one, I got him in the legs. And so on and so on."
"No! Finish it!" I squeaked.
"Alright, alright. So, once I beat all of them, my team finally shows up. They say that they had to fight ten guys, and I'm like 'I just battled ten by myself!' and we all had a good laugh."
"You always end your stories in 'and we had a good laugh.' Why?"
"Because that's how we ended our missions!"
Father, I loved you. I trusted you. But then you just went and did it! Why? I hate you! I hate you! You just left me here, all by myself. I can't handle it anymore. I just want to kill myself!
"Daddy! Can we get some dumplings?" I asked, tugging on my father's arms.
"Yes, we can go some dumplings, Kakashi," He smiled. He pulled me onto his back and carried me into the dumpling shop.
"Hello, Sakumo and Kakashi," A few people said as they walked by.
"Hi! Hi!" I responded.
Father set me down at a table and ordered two dumplings for the each of them. The dumpling came, along with some sour chicken.
"It's on the house, Hatake-sama," A woman said before walking off. Father shrugged and put hot sauce all over the chicken while taking a bit of his dumplings.
"Kakashi, did you know that this hot sauce is made melted down ninja tools?" My father asked me as I took a bite of chicken. I immediately spit it out.
"It is?" I yelled, pushing the chicken away. My father started laughing his head off, while I stayed there with a terrified look on my face.
All those times we had together... I miss them so much. I wish that you had never gone away. It was because of your peers, I know. But it was your selfishness too. You left me here with no one. No one to love, no one to trust, no one to help.
I wrote this while having writer's block. It is for my fans who like my Kakashi stories. Yes, I will write more. But at the moment, I am very busy rewriting A Little Gift From Me To You and running a forum, while having a horrible Writer's block. I will try to update my other story soon.
