Chapter I
I'd just awakened from a deep sleep. My squinted eyes dripped water, my eyelids rolled up to enclose my deep rest. My blood red lips smacked against my sharpened teeth as I saw the sky as black as death, and the moonlight radiant. Gripping what was behind my back, I whipped around, my eyes cold and black.
I was hungry.
Darting back and forth, I flipped my head every which way. Peering behind every headstone, I searched desperately for that juicy, rich wine. I felt as if I had no control over myself, my head somewhere in a distant land, far from reality. My arms were magnets to any source of blood, and my legs could carry me there faster than light was able to travel.
I scrunched my nose. All I could sense was the musky mist making beautiful contrast against the moonlight. Finding my way through the dark, mysterious cemetery, I spotted an exceedingly beautiful Victorian gate. Trying to fit myself through the so elegantly carved openings, I backed out.
The openings are too small!
Searching for the lock that put the cemetery into a suspenseful island of it's own, my temper rose. I no longer had any patience, my head was spinning, and I collapsed to my feet.
I can't take this much longer.
Pulling my body up along the gate, I gripped the beautiful Victorian wonder with full force, and threw it to a distant area. My heart skipped a beat, my legs felt stronger, my smile...
...more vicious than ever.
After this meal, I must leave, I decided, if anyone is to see me located here, my secret will be out. No longer will my species exist; neither will I.
