Chapter 1: Wendy Heartbreaks and Mabel Fixes

It was a hot, sunny day in Gravity Falls, and at the Mystery Shack, the twins, Dipper and Mabel were playing chess. Mabel had beaten her brother 4 times in a row, and Dipper wasn't gonna give up until he won! Even one time would make it all worthwhile…

Despite Dipper's efforts, Mabel won yet again!

"Damn it, Mabel!" he groaned. "How are you so good at this?!"

Mabel chuckled and put her arms behind her head.

"What can I say? I'm a bona-fide chess pro!"

Since the twins were now 15, they could say very minor swear words. Although, sometimes, they said major ones. Now, that wouldn't have happened as much if Stan had watched his mouth more often. But, being a penny pinching elder, he cussed like a sailor. Everyone around the shack had grown up over time. Soos was older and looking for a girlfriend who loved his sense of humor, Stan was still the same, just a tad older, Pacifica was now 15 as well and had a boyfriend that shaped her into a softer person, and Wendy… Well, she had been talking about Robbie non-stop, and Dipper was none too happy about it. He still wanted to be Wendy's boyfriend even though there was a huge age gap between them.

He tried to get Wendy to hang with him more, but she just brushed him off and said "Later," every damn time!

Mabel tried suggesting going for another girl that doesn't ignore him and also his age.

However, Dipper responded with, "Yeah, like I'm gonna take advice from my little sister, who can't even keep a guy herself." in a snarky voice.

Offended, Mabel then got angry and puffed up like a puffer fish. "Fuck you, Dipper! You're the worst brother ever!"

Then she stormed off.

Now, Dipper had a plan!

He dressed in a nice tuxedo, he combed his short brown hair so it was now slick and smooth, and he bought a bouquet of flowers with all the money he had saved up. He was gonna ask Wendy out on a date! With how handsome he thought he looked, he was sure that he was gonna capture her heart. Wendy was going to the park for some reason, avoiding her job she still had at the shack. Luckily for her, Stan was sleeping so he wouldn't notice. Dipper was gonna follow her and make his move. When he closed the door, Mabel sighed.

"It's not gonna work…"

As he followed her, Dipper was smiling widely with confidence. He was so sure that Wendy wasn't gonna be able to resist him, he wasn't even bothering to wonder why Wendy was going to the park other than to avoid her job.

When Wendy go there, she still didn't notice the younger boy following her. She saw the boy she was looking for: Robbie. Dipper hid in a bush and observed the scene.

"It's that emo bastard! What's she doing with him?!" he whisper-yelled.

Wendy approached him very happily and started talking to him. Dipper wanted to hear them, so he moved closer. He decided to hide behind the bench they were now sitting on, eavesdropping on them.

"So, Wendy, are you currently… Seeing anybody?" Robbie asked her.

Dipper made a silent noise in the back of his throat at this.

'Say yes… say yes…' he repeated over and over in his mind.

"Um… no…" The brunette replied, brushing a lock of her hair away from her eyes.

Dipper got angry, but contained it, not wanting to give away his hiding position.

"Not even that little guy, what's-his-face? The one with brown hair and an annoying twin sister?" Robbie continued.

Dipper wanted to punch him so damn bad! However, he still wanted to listen to what Wendy was gonna say.

He hoped she would defend him and say something like, "Hey, don't call little Dipper that! He's a great guy, better than you, emo-guy!"

However, she said, "Hey, you don't have to be so mean, Robbie," and that made Dipper feel a little better, but then she continued.

"But, no, I don't have any interest in him. He's too young for me… Besides, he's more like a little brother to me since I don't have one." Dipper gasped lightly and his brown eyes shrunk.

Did Wendy really not feel that strongly about him?

"Aw, that's sweet… And kinda gay…" Robbie joked, leaning in slightly.

Wendy was about to protest when Robbie leaned in closer. Dipper waited for Wendy to try and protest to this, but instead, she closed her eyes and helped him close the gap.

Upon seeing the two kiss, Dipper felt his heart break into a million, tiny pieces… His stomach lurched, his head swayed slightly, and he felt a bad taste form in his mouth. He was heartbroken…

After releasing the kiss, both Wendy and Robbie stared into each other's eyes, not saying a word. Then, they both blushed and chuckled awkwardly.

"So, uh, you wanna grab a smoothie?" Robbie offered.

Wendy smiled and nodded. Then, they both got up, held hands, and started walking away. They often stole glances from each other, making them giggle. Dipper watched the two walking away, hand in hand, smiling… He got out from under the bench and stood up. His neat, clean tux was now dirty and wrinkled, the flowers he was holding seemed to be wilting as much as he was. He felt tears well up in his eyes and stream down his cheeks. He started making crying noises as the two disappeared from sight. His arms fell to his sides and his hands un-balled. The flowers fell onto the grass, the petals scattering all over just like Dipper's hopes and dreams. He then ran away, sobbing. His tears streaming behind him, they full of sadness, hurt, and agony.

At the Mystery Shack, Mabel was making dinner because Stan was still asleep and not showing any signs of getting up anytime soon. She had been learning to cook just for fun and for situations like these. She decided to make grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for three since Sous announced he was coming home. Even though Dipper was gone, Mabel could somehow sense her brother was coming home this very moment. Call it a twin instinct. What would that even translate into? A twin-stinct? She didn't know.

Anyhoo, she cooked for a while and soon it was finished.

She set three plates and bowls out on the table, spoons on the right and cups on the upper left side of the plate. As she entered her teens, she developed a sense of OCD, falling under the counters and arrangers category. Now all she had to do was keep the food warm and wait for her brother and Soos to come. She kept the stove on a very low temperature so it would stay warm but not get overcooked. She sat down and started sewing and patching up her sweater with her name on it. She had gotten it ripped recently, don't ask, and she had a talent for mending clothes as well as making them sparkle.

After it was all fixed, she hung it up in her closet.

Just as she was about to start sewing another outfit up, she heard the door burst open, making her accidentally prick her finger on the needle!

"Ow!" she yelped, putting her finger in her mouth.

She looked at the door and saw a familiar silhouette of a boy standing in the doorway.

"Dipper? Is that you?" she asked, getting up.

Sure enough, when she was close enough to him, she was able to see it was him. However, she thought when he came back, he would look angry or frustrated, but, no; he was crying. His usual brown eyes were now clouded and red around the edges. His face was tear stained and salty, he appeared to be shaking as well. Mabel couldn't remember ever seeing her confident, brave, strong brother this broken, sad, and afraid. It made her worried and sentimental.

"Dipper, what's wrong?" she asked, reaching for him.

Dipper looked up at his sister and started crying again. He then threw his arms around her and cried into her shoulder. She blushed and her mouth gaped, but she then slowly returned the hug comfortingly.

Maebl offered for him to sit down and talk about it and he nodded his head while sobbing. He told her about what happened with Wendy and Robbie. Mabel frowned at this.

"I'm sorry, Dipper… But, maybe this is for the best?" Dipper looked at her with slight anger.

"How is THIS for the best?!" he demanded.

"Well," Mabel said, scooting closer to him, "now you know Wendy wasn't the right one to try and go for. Now you can find the right person."

Dipper gasped slightly and looked at her. She gave him a reassuring smile.

"Maybe that means you'll find the right person soon, too." he said to his sister.

Mabel blushed looked down.

"Heh, I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon." she admitted, twiddling her thumbs. "After all, you said I can't keep a guy myself."

Dipper felt his heart ache at that memory. He now felt horrible about it. He put a hand on her shoulder, making her look at him. "I'm sorry I said that…" he whispered. Mabel stared at her brother in awe. She then felt her heart skip a beat for no apparent reason. She placed a hand to her chest and panted lightly.

"Mabel?" Dipper said, snapping his brunette sister out of her trance.

"Oh, sorry…" she mumbled apologetically.

"S'okay," he assured her.

She smiled at him lovingly, he did the same.

"Well, I just want you to know that if you ever need comfort, I'll be here." Mabel offered, moving closer to Dipper.

He gasped lightly and looked at her.

"Really?" he asked.

She nodded. Dipper blushed. Despite the fact that they were siblings and siblings argue, she was still being so nice and caring to him. He felt something in his sleeve and looked in it to find a flower from his bouquet. It was a pink rose. Some of the petals had fallen off, but it was still a very pretty flower. He looked at it and then at his sister.

Mabel gasped as she felt something pull her in closer, something get wedged between her left ear, then she was pushed away slightly.

"Thanks, Mabel," Dipper said, his tears now dried up.

Mabel slowly brought her hand up and felt a stem in between her ear. She grabbed her compact out of her sweater pocket and opened it up. She looked at herself and saw a pink rose now in her hair. She came to the conclusion that Dipper had put it in there. This made her cheeks turn red and her heart pound in her chest. She looked at her brother who was blushing and hanging his head with his head hung slightly. She smiled softly at him knowingly.

"Well," Mabel said, getting up, "If it'll make you feel better, then I made your favourite: Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup."

Dipper looked up at her.

"Isn't that also your favourite?" he asked.

Mabel nodded. "Yep, but tonight, you're the important one."

Dipper exclaimed and blushed at this comment.

'What's wrong with me? Why am I blushing? She's just being a nice sister…' he thought, shifting his eyes away.

Mabel giggled at his flustering and started to head into the kitchen.

"Mabel!" Dipper halted her.

"I… I-"

Before he could answer, the door opened. Mabel held up her index finger.

"Hold that thought, Dipper." she said.

She then went to see who it was.

Dipper sighed.

'What was I gonna say?' he wondered.

He didn't know why, but he felt like he wanted to say something to her. He didn't know what it was, he just spoke like he wasn't in control of his mouth.

'Oh, well…' he thought, getting up and going into the kitchen.

Let the drama… begin!

Done! New story! Warning, there will be things like incest, lemons, strong language, and other ideologically sensitive material! Also, through my eyes, this is like an anime version of Gravity Falls. But, you can imagine it however you want. Also, Wendy doesn't have any brothers in this universe, this was made before I knew that. I don't watch Gravity Falls all that much so I'm not like a diehard fan.

Shadow: You like incest?

Ew, no! … I don't mind if it's between fictional characters because it's fiction and doesn't count, but in real life, no.

Shadow: ….
