I accepted Yukixshuu's challenge who had accepted MoonStarDutchess's challenge to write a story based on 3 words. Along with it being no less than 550 words and more than 450 words long, plus writing it all in 30 minutes. The words I was given by Yukixshuu were... 'The World's Greatest'.

And in 30 minutes... I had a story. Enjoy.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!"

Hawkeye's head snapped up from the file she was reading and her eyes scanned the office for the source of the sudden outburst, but to honest it wasn't much of a task, as there were only two people in the room including herself. 'I really should of known,' she thought to herself.

Looking towards the largest desk in the room, she expected to see her commanding officer throwing paperwork around the room, or glaring at a new memo about a one hour long meeting later on in the day. They were usually the things he shouted about, complaining that he didn't have any time for this, or that why people had to bother him all the time. Really, that man could be such a child at times, but what she saw in realty surprised her.

Riza stared at Roy Mustang, completely dumbfound to find him standing behind his desk as he glared down at the grey mug in his gloved covered hands. On that mug that Mustang seem to hate so much was a sentence that Riza couldn't see clearly.

Sighing, the woman stood from her desk and made her way over to Roy before gently placing her hand over his own and lifted the mug out of his grip. "Sir, what are screaming about?"

The man huffed in annoyance, "I'm not screaming."

Riza rolled her eyes, "ok then, what are you not screaming about then?"

"You wouldn't understand, probably think I was being childish or something like that."

She couldn't help herself and smirked, which for a change surprised Roy. "You're already acting like a child, now could you explain please?"

He gave up quickly, "look at the mug Hawkeye, and tell me what it says." Again surprised by him, Riza turned the mug in her hands and read the large red coloured print.

"The world's greatest?"

"Stupid isn't it?"

Oh this day was just full of surprises, and they were all happening in the thirty minutes she had started working. "Well I suppose it is but..."

"I mean who makes these kinds of things?! There's no such thing as a world's greatest!" Roy exploded again, snatching the mug off Riza and slamming it onto his desk with a loud thud. "Who sent me this anyway?"

"Well it is a matter of opinion Sir, maybe a late girlfriend sent you it?" She said as she started cleaning the desk in front of her. Riza wasn't surprised this time by the slight anger she felt when saying those words.

Roy sighed and helped her with the papers, and for the moment or so while they worked in quiet bliss, the alchemist couldn't help but wonder why he felt so comfortable when he was around Riza.

Finally Roy spoke as the papers were collected, "I know I'm no where near the world's greatest. That's for sure."

"Like I say before, Sir." Riza answered back as headed to her own desk. "It is a matter of opinion."

Many years later, when both Roy and Riza were finally married, Roy opened a wrapped anniversary gift only to find a 'world's greatest' mug along with a picture of himself and Riza.

A bit of a pointless plot but not bad eh? I would like to challenge all authors to do this as well. Me and Yukixshuu have done one, now it's your turn!
