Adam's innocence

Lawrence slowly opened his eyes. The room was already filled with light. He looked at his watch, it was already 10 o'clock. Damn it! Normally, he always woke up automatically at eight, the time he had to go up and get to the hospital, even on Saturdays.

Lawrence looked at the cute guy next to him. Adam was still sound asleep. He was laying on his stomach, his head laying on his pillow and his arms desperately clutching to it, like he was afraid someone would steal it from him.

Lawrence saw the innocence in his relaxed face. That damn innocence, the innocence he so badly wanted to hide. And it was only when he slept that he showed it.

Lawrence had to keep looking at him, he was paralyzed by Adam's childish innocence, his closed eyes, and his soft, slow breathing.

He really was a child, Lawrence thought. A child in an adult's body. A sarcastic, annoying little kid!

Lawrence slowly comes to his senses again. He doesn't know what to do, though. He feels the urge to get into the bed, wake up Adam and tell him that he loves him so much. He wants to stroke his hair and whisper his name, and then, Adam would wake up and blink. He would realize that Lawrence woke him up at eight o'clock on a Saturday, damn him and turn to the other side, annoyed as hell, with an annoyed sigh.

A smile appears on Lawrence's face. Yes, that would be Adam's reaction. He wants to do that very badly, but something inside him keeps him from doing it.

The part of him that knows that from the moment Adam wakes up, he loses his innocence.

His beautiful, fucking childish innocence!
